Again in the streets of Ushuaia, it was seen a huge torchlight march with thousands of workers.
It has been 69 days of fighting and occupying the square. The heroic fighters of Tierra del Fuego continue their struggle for the repeal of the anti-labor laws of Bertone’s government (Kirchnerist).
The same government that under Macri hand with police and justice put in jail five comrades for fighting, holding them in isolation for 48 hours while today they are half in prison for the brutal restrictions imposed by the justice system.
Workers also do not stop their struggle, they are still strengthened. It is that the anti-labor laws mean that teachers and state workers of Tierra del Fuego lose each and every one their rights.
We were able to participate in the demonstration and at the end, Claudia Pafundi; wife of Omar Mansilla, oil worker condemned to five years in prison for fighting against income tax and job insecurity was able to speak to the thousands of workers:
"The workers are taken out of prison by workers themselves. Our struggle is not in parliaments, not with lawyers or anything, but our fight is in the streets together with unity and coordination.
Luckily our comrades are free, although as Horacio said -I liked that phrase- are half prisoners, because thanks to the great struggle we gave on December 12, 2013 dated of the sentence, many organizations came to Caleta from Buenos Aires and thanks to that our comrades are free. Free, but as we say, with the Damocles sword over the head, they do not know when they can be taken away.
We are persecuted, police cars stop in our homes, our comrades are chased, and our phones are intervened. Why? Because we want to keep us quiet, on the contrary, they are not going to be silent comrades.
We have felt alone for many years. We felt alone 8 years. But then solidarity came from Argentina and all over the world.
That is why I am here today comrades, to tell you that you are not alone, we are with you and with each worker chased. With each worker condemned, each worker who is prosecuted, there is our Commission. Because we know that the acquittal to our comrades, truck drivers and teachers from Tierra del Fuego is in the solidarity. So that's why we are with you.
Thank you very much comrades.
Long live the workers' struggle! "
An injury to one is an injury to all!
Acquittal to the oil workers of Las Heras and teachers and truck drivers condemned of Tierra del Fuego!
