So you want an "exemplary punishment". Whom for? Maybe for workers who fight while the police and gendarmerie treats them with sticks and bullets? For teachers who are in strike and you backed onto with a grenade, killing him, their comrade professor Carlos Fuentealba? Indeed, "exemplary punishment" for all those who go to fight for the most pressing needs of workers in Argentina and the world. That’s why, precisely, fighting for the acquittal of Las Heras oil workers must be a cause and a flag of struggle for the entire working class. It is imperative to release the companions from this dirty frame-up armed by the Government, the oil companies and their fascist judges.
Not a single proof the witnesses (all police officers) for the complainants can exhibit, and the written testimonies have been snatched from the under-signers by torture and terror. What happened in Las Heras was an uprising of the masses against starving wages, exploitation and the looting of the imperialist octopus and its oil companies! Make the police answer for Sayago’s death, as the police agents were the only ones who shot live ammo against defenseless workers! Those who today have came as witnesses for the complainants, are the same ones who were responsible for cleaning the scene of the events!
All of this confirms again that this is not a trial, but a scheme –a perverse frame-up indeed- of the whole bunch of the parties of the capitalists, the Government and judges of the bosses’ Justice (heads of the repressive forces and the intelligence services), for lynching in that fascist Court the Las Heras 13 workers and show to all of the labor movement and the exploited what would be their fate if they dare go out to claim for their needs. The bourgeoisie knows very well that workers don't kill police officers but that it is the police that don’t tire of killing workers: 30,000 missing people, Victor Choque, Teresa Rodriguez, Anibal Veron, Justiniano, Kosteki and Santillan, the dozens of martyrs on 19 and 20 December 2001, Professor Fuentealba, the home-less immigrant workers that were camping with their children in the Indoamericano Park, and all the kids murdered by the "trigger-happy" murderous police.

Odd enough is the "peace and democracy" that the UCR touts: prison for the workers who fight for their salary and their dignity, and freedom to the coup leaders and protagonists of the bloody military dictatorship of Videla. No one can forget that with Alfonsin Sr. (the late political chief of the UCR, N.T.) in the Government, it was the UCR that passed in congress and applied the law recognizing for the murderers and torturers “the due obedience” (as a legal excuse for being acquitted of their charges, N.T.) and the Law of Punto Final (Definitive Stop) (a law banning starting or following any prosecution or investigation on those murderers and torturers of the dictatorship -both low and high rank officers of the armed forces- that had not been yet accused formally, N.T.), and this was how the UCR saved the hundreds of genocidal military that murdered and made disappear more than 30,000 comrades, both worker fighters and young students.
For the murderous military, "freedom" and "Happy Easter" (during the government of Alfonsin at one Easter Sunday some high officers that were angry with the “weak civilian government” for not giving them still more gains, featured a coup that failed; although some thousands of people had gathered in front of the Pink House to protect the “democratic” president, the latter forgave the mutinous military, and dismissed the people with a “Happy Easter!” hail, N.T.); for working-class fighters, an "exemplary punishment", torture and terror in the prisons of the fascist judges, the Government of Santa Cruz, the national Government of Kirchner and the transnational corporations.
Caleta Olivia: the gates of the court full with the international solidarity
in the face of the fascist court |
No one can be surprised by this kind of statements coming from members of this Party, because the history of the UCR is full with massacres and all kinds of punishments and humiliations against the workers and the exploited. Let’s see and remember some of them: the Government of Hipolito Irigoyen in 1920-21 killing thousands of workers with Colonel Varela and his artillery troops in the “Patagonia Rebelde” (a long strike by rural workers that protested for the miserable wages and inhuman labor conditions in a very hard climate region, N.T.). In the ‘70s Italo Luder (a senator and chief of the JP) and Ricardo Balbin (a senator and an historical authority within the UCR) called for the military to crush the vanguard of the working class and youth, i.e. militant factory delegates and student leaders, whom they stigmatized with the nickname of "industrial guerrilla". The cynicism of the UCR, is the same as that of the Kirchners’; together they have teamed up to punish the workers of Las Heras and through them terrorize all the exploited in the country.
It is no coincidence. In the presentation of this fabricated cause to the Tribunal, the complainants accuse the fighters who are in the Court/scaffold, to have become a "military shock force against the police with the aim of killing". A cynical lie! A vile fabrication! We are facing complainants and judges who accuse the worker fighters along a script written by their chiefs the oil companies, which are dictating to their subjects the same arguments that US imperialism issued to Martinez de Hoz and Videla; it had to give an exemplary lesson and punish the masses which stood up with the "Rodrigazo" (a semi insurrectional mobilization and general strike in July 1975 that caused the fall of some sensitive ministers in the government of Isabel Peron -who was on the brink of having to resign herself too-, and defeated the attempt by the government and the imperialists behind it, of making the workers accept a wage rise that was a fifth or less of the inflation rate), which came from featuring the Cordobazo (a generalized spontaneous insurrection in 1969 that had began in some of the main industrial and university cities and culminated in Cordoba City defeating the police and obligating the military dictatorship of the time to begin negotiations for an ordered civilian transition, N.T.) and setting up their factory coordinating bodies (embryonic regional soviets, in a period when all the factories were on strike or mobilized, N.T.) in 1974-1975. Then, for the bosses and imperialism, it was imperative to crush the “industrial guerrilla".
In ´76, PJ and UCR, sustained with their mayors, and supported the genocidal dictatorship of Videla, which slaughtered more than 30,000 missing comrades.
In the ‘80 it was President Alfonsin Sr. killing the exploited of the uprisings caused by hunger in the middle of a super accelerating hyperinflation and generalized unemployment. In 2001 with President De la Rua and his ministers murdering dozens of exploited mobilized against an unstoppable, long economic and finance crisis on 19 and 20 December... All these murderous politicians have been left at large and unpunished by this same justice, which they now ask for an ''exemplary punishment '' against the fighting workers.
Today, in 2013, in the province of the Ks, and along with them, the UCR is calling to imprison and torture worker fighters, with the aim of preparing new massacres, new Kostekis and Santillans, Verons, in short, new martyrs of the exploited.
The sayings of Ms Alvarez (UCR) and the behavior and actions of CFKirchner, demonstrates that there is a broad agreement among officials and opposition. Thus despite the fight between the Government and the opposition, and the crisping and bickering between the Executive Branch and the Supreme Court, when it comes to attack and crush the working class and the exploited, all bosses’ gangs and their political parties act as a single block.
As the old saying goes, "birds of a feather flock together". They, the bosses and their political parties, the government high officials and their cronies, can publicly fight for the spoils of the business, insult to even threaten each other, but they will never touch a hair of their bourgeois opponents.

The Ks with Lázaro Báez, the UCR with Clarin, all united, along with imperialist Big Oil and its fascist judges, require the lynching of the workmen of Las Heras! They do not want justice; they want revenge as in the Patagonia Rebelde! Murderers! Albeit it's the case of Governments that have murdered hundreds of workers, to continue granting the handing out of the nation to imperialism with their "democracy", neither President Duhalde of the Peronist party - responsible for the massacre of the Pueyrredon Bridge, where the damned police murdered young Kosteki and Santillan -, nor President De la Rua - of the UCR - the killer of more than 40 martyrs of the revolutionary struggle on December 19 and 20, 2001, are in prison, to give just two examples among many! CYNICS!
The UCR, a centennial party of worker-bashing lawyers and murderers of strikers and worker fighters, is already more than proven in punishing the workers. There are still all along the Argentinean Patagonia the mass graves where Colonel Varela, under the orders of UCR President Hipolito Yrigoyen, buried the rural workers massacred in La Patagonia Rebelde of 1921. These workers (Italians, Polish, Germans, Chileans and from other nationalities), accused of being "foreigners who came to steal our land", were attacked with cannons and machine guns and fusilladed at cold blood when they surrendered. However, they were poor enslaved laborers brought to be exploited by the British (imperialist landowners that had taken almost all the land in the southern uplands to breed sheep; they paid very low wages and squeezed their laborers in cold barracks without beds or tables, N.T.) whom lackeys like Yrigoyen and his Colonel Varela defended their interests. In the same way today the Kirchners and the Kirchnerites, the UCR and its judges, proceed towards the Pan American, Chevron, BP and Exxon. |
Tragica ("tragic week") in Buenos Aires, with the caste of army officers and the “cajetilla” (“highbrow gentlemen”, N.T.) law students of the "Patriotic League" (a right wing, proto fascist rich youth association. N.T.), did not tire of chasing and killing striking workers, (even going to their poor rooms in the tenement houses to catch them and terrorize their families, N.T.). These people know very well how to organize their murderous police, as Alfonsin Sr. and De la Rua did to kill hundreds of workers.
Those who today call to lynch the Las Heras oil workers, are the children of the children of the murderers of the "Tragic Week" and "La Patagonia Rebelde". WE REVOLUTIONARY SOCIALISTS DO NOT FORGET OR FORGIVE. WE CALL AND GO ON CALLING TO JUDGE AND PUNISH ALLTHE MURDERERS OF THE PEOPLE.
But THIS CLASS JUSTICE, THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE WILL CONQUER WITH THEIR STRUGGLE, THEIR SELF-ORGANIZATION AND RELYING ONLY ON THEIR OWN FORCES; BREAKING WITH ANY ILLUSION AND CONFIDENCE IN THE INSTITUTIONS OF THE STATE, ITS JUDGES AND EXECUTIONERS, AS ITS VICIOUS PARTIES AND MURDEROUS CASTE OF OFFICERS. THE MASSES WILL CONQUER IT THAT IN NEW FIGHTING, LEAD TO VICTORY THE CORDOBAZO AND THE REVOLUTIONARY PROCESS IN 2001.
The fact is that this trial of Las Heras workers, poses again the need to repeat the lesson for these murderers, starverers and oppressors of the people:”that every one of them go away, not even a single one must return!”
The bourgeoisie and its political parties speak clearly and recognize with precision who is their enemy. They re-group their forces and attack the heart of the workers’ vanguard. They have jailed in their dungeons hundreds of prisoners and processed 6500 workers fighters. The tragedy of the working class is that it has not conquered a leadership that is at the level of the attack, cynicism, and strategic clarity with which the exploiters hit the Argentinean working class and youth.
The revolutionary socialists fought in Las Heras, were with the comrades in the prisons and will never withdraw from this fight. The silence about them has been broken, and the isolation has begun to break. The most convincing proof of this is that there will be no impunity for those that may lynch Las Heras workers; it is an enormous solidarity of hundreds of worker organizations in Argentina and in the world, on all five continents, which has begun to act, representing hundreds of thousands of exploited, which have been standing next to our brothers of Las Heras, from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Japan, Africa, Libya, Syria, the United States, Bolivia, etc. They are forces of the exploited, moved through the international class solidarity. The oil workers in Las Heras neither are nor will be alone. What it is about is redoubling forces, to put the entire weight of the Argentinean and international working class forces, to draw Las Heras workers from the gallows built by capital parasites and exploiters.
The judges of the oil companies in the province of the Kirchners, supported by the UCR and the anti worker opposition thought they were going to have a liberated zone, to do with the workers anything they wanted to, as they are doing all these years, torturing them in the eyes of the judges. They are who deserve to be judged as torturers and oppressors of the people. They are wrong. We know that those in the trial are the judges commanding one of the most repressive and murderous police corps of the country, who in their turn are under the command of the bosses’ politicians. There was in Santa Cruz no fight where the workers were not grind to a pulp, as happened with the unemployed workers and woman workers of Caleta Olivia in 2005, policemen that clubbed unemployed mothers fighting for a decent job and made one of them lose an 8 months pregnancy; today they want to imprison defenseless workers that were only demanding justice, jobs, bread and freedom.
By lynching Las Heras workers, they want to bring peace and tranquility to the bankers and the imperialist transnationals who loot the nation
As in Brazil, and processing 6500 in Argentina, their masks fall from the Bolivarian Governments: they are oppressors, junior partners of the transnationals and want to starve the people
Let's say the truth. Both the Kirchner and the gorillas of the UCR, want an "exemplary punishment", NOT because they are the champions of "peace and democracy" -a sweet masquerade that hides the most fierce dictatorship of capital-, but because they have promised to their Chief Obama and the imperialist oil companies, that never more profits, properties and interests will be affected by slaves who rebel to survive in this hell created by transnational corporations. These parasites, which dominate the planet, invade and occupy Nations and with their oil wars have made a blood bathing of entire Nations, maintain thousands of anti-imperialist fighters imprisoned both at Guantánamo (Cuba) and in secret prisons the CIA has scattered around the world. During these last 7 years, with the Videlista occupation of Las Heras, they have transformed this city into a true open prison.
Why so many forces of the employers wanting to punish 13 oil workers, that the only thing they did was to claim for a more dignified life? Because the oil companies, transnationals of the MERCOSUR, the native bourgeoisie and imperialist pirates, along with their lackey Governments, know that in Brazil the exploited have rebelled, that those forces now fighting in the streets, burning out municipalities and locals of the CUT and the PT, occupying public buildings and Government palaces, as in Brasilia and Sao Paulo, can set up again the Latin American Revolution.
The bourgeoisie knows what it is about, that’s why it brings together and strengthens its institutions, because it knows that the crisis of the world capitalist economy has not ceased, that China is sneezing and so MERCOSUR is catching a cold. In Brazil the masses have started fighting with huge political struggles of masses and revolutionary days, which are painting a dreary development to the Government of Dilma and the bourgeoisie. The bourgeoisie does not want the awakening of the Brazilian giant to impact in Argentina with a new 2001 where the cry returns of "Que se vayan todos, que no quede ni uno solo!" (”that every one of them go away, not even a single one must return!” The bosses seek to shield their regime, and do so consolidating the Supreme Court of Justice, that caste of Videlista/Peronist/radical judges, who distribute a portion of the business between different bourgeois fractions and command the attack against the workers, holding hundreds of political prisoners and 6,500 workers and popular fighters that are processed.
So it is not strange that in these moments the Kirchner, who posed as a "defender of human rights", has chosen General Cesar Milani as the new Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, knowing that he has been an intelligence officer in the "Operation Independence", that in 1975 massacred hundreds of workers and students in Tucumán.
To organize trials like these, in the service of the transnationals, the anti worker Government of Kirchner and all the bosses’ parties, voted in the Congress the "anti-terrorist law" that seeks to generalize this example to the whole working class.
From CFKirchner’s face, as from all the Bolivarian Governments in Latin America, the mask has dropped, they now show their real ugly faces: nothing of anti imperialism, no friendship with the people, no inclusion at all (only in prisons). In Bolivia the Morales Government has beaten and processed the miners on strike. The Government of Ortega in Nicaragua has just beaten with his bands of thugs retirees fighting for a dignified retirement. Chavezism handed out to the fascist government of Santos the Colombian resistance and now is starving the Venezuelan exploited; all of this on account of imperialism that lets it share a slice of the oil income. In the currently rundown box of honor of the Bolivarian there are Dilma, the PT and the left-of-the-system of Brazil. The biggest oppressors and murderers of the Brazilian people, behind good-humored faces of 'left' wings and 'Workers party', the biggest enemies of the exploited are hiding: the junior partners of the transnationals, the landowner oligarchy and the administrators of business of international financial capital.
Demonstration in Chile (06/26/2013) |
Missis Dilma and her fellow executioners, with their murderous police, have killed 500 thousand in the favelas (shanty towns) of Brazil; moreover they have the impertinence to build with billions of dollars taken from the people and in the slums where the hungry and dispossessed live, lavish Roman circuses in this colony of slaves Brazil is.
The masks fall. Even the Castro brothers, with their children wearing Armani suits, have delivered Cuba to imperialism.
The masks fall. The Bolivarian are not distinguishable from their allies of the UNASUR, their friends the repressive and murderous Governments of Mexico, Peru or Chile, where the Government of Piñera, represses and imprisons the young students and workers who are fighting for a free education.
Bolivarian Governments and those that have signed the FTAs, under the orders of Obama, have begun to shield their regimes to punish and give exemplary blows against exploited million, so they would not revolt against producing in sweatshops in which they were enslaved, and that all the Nations of the US backyard continue being raided by the imperialist predators.
Caleta Olivia: the gates of the court full with the international solidarity
in the face of the fascist court |
Trade Union bureaucrats of the CGT and CTA look the other way, while the left-of-the-system give their “support” to the workers with a dropper, but everyone is full-heartedly in the circus and the electoral drunkenness of the infamous regime of the arch-anti worker and reactionary Constitution of 1853-1994
This collusion between the State, the Government, the judges and... now the UCR, shows that the bourgeoisie has packed together all of its institutions to condemn to life imprisonment Las Heras oil workers and also for not releasing the prisoners of Corral de Bustos, Jujuy, and all those who still remain as hostages of this infamous regime in prisons in Bariloche, Rosario and Great Buenos Aires for having raised against hunger last December 20 and 21.
While this happens, inside the ranks of the working class, of the CGT and the CTA - bureaucracies that speak all day long against the wage tax on the radio and television-- have not moved a single finger to protect Las Heras workers, who were the first to confront this robbery to the workers’ wage and fight against job insecurity. They have not called for even a single minute of strike or to any class action, nor have made available the vast resources that trade unions have, not even travelled with a symbolic delegation to be with the comrades facing the Court of Revenge of the oil companies. They have locked under 7 keys the demands of the working class and participate on electoral fronts of the ruling bourgeoisie (FPV-Kirchner) or the opposition (De Narváez, Massa, Binner, etc.). The bureaucracy of the oil Union, today directed by Barrientos, has prevented any action in defence of their fellow workers in Patagonia.
Against them, the workers must do the same and join all our organizations struggle to hit as a single fist our tormentors. LET'S DISAVOW THAT FASCIST COURT THAT PREPARES A LYNCHING AGAINST LAS HERAS OIL WORKERS! IMMEDIATE ACQUITTAL OF THE COMPANIONS!
In order to take this way, the “Left Front” must break with its passivity. How can still Altamira (PO) and Castillo (PTS), the most well known faces of the electoral front, haven’t stated from Caleta Olivia that if “one is the oil workers of Las Heras is attacked, they will attack all of us as well”. Further, on June 29th the CEPRODH (Organism for the Humans Rights of PTS) calls a national meeting of lawyers and law students in Cordoba and NOT IN FRONT OF THE COURT IN CALETA OLIVIA, where the trial of lynching against the workers of Las Heras. The working class must conquer the acquittal of the comrades, who were the vanguard in the fight against the tax on the wages and working slavery, and for that combat they have already spend 3 and a half years tortured in the prisons of the oil companies (and 4 years in parole without being allow to leave the city militarized city). This banner of fight doesn’t belong to any particular political party but to the Argentinean and world working movement.
But, unfortunately, this isn’t how FIT acted. They are drunk with “electoral” alcohol, and they aren’t seeing the change that means, from the point of the bourgeois state and its attack to the working class, the trial and lynching of Las Heras. There defenseless workers (who demanded wages and the freedom of their leaders and to stop repression) are compared with civil armed groups capable of attacking barracks, as accepted and stated this videslist court of Caleta Olivia. A trial that accepts torture because “the one tortured didn’t denounce it back then”, who is afraid and scared of denouncing it.
This is very serious. It is the preview of the generalization of the Anti-terrorist Law, which will be used by the bosses and the governments to attack us all. And even if this wasn’t the situation, wakening illusions, as they have been doing, that with good lawyers and pressing the “democratic” judges there can be rules in favor of the workers, proves being servile towards the bourgeois regime, which can’t be justified by any electoral wave, but only means an opportunist adaptation to the system.
Let’s be clear. The bosses handed out one of its hunting dogs, as Pedraza, saved the one who unleashed the dog (the government, the Minister of Labor and bosses) to kill a young revolutionary comrade, Mariano Ferreyra. For this dog, called Pedraza, who is being “put down” today (only for a couple of days), the bosses will collect thousands of our fighters. This is the old theory of “two demons”, for which the systematic and reformist left, which looks for “democratic” and “progressist” judges, fits perfectly to the bourgeois state.
What we are saying is based on the fact. This is not a race to see who support the workers of Las Heras the most. For the members of the IVth International in Argentina, this dubitative policy of FIT is a tragedy. Because they have a big power in their hands, since most of the 6,500 prosecuted workers are members of their parties. FIT is part of important forces of the working vanguard, which should have been already in the balance if favor of the workers of Las Heras (as well as in any prosecuted worker), who can’t be fighting isolated. Like bourgeoisie does with all their forces to condemn the workers of Las Heras and all those fighters who dare rebelling against exploitation and slavery. A chief state of the TNCs controls all the judges, all the courts centralizedly. They gave an order: discipline and punish to submit al the exploited people. How can we fight divided in different courts and judges, begging for justice? We are facing an attack of the exploiter class against the class that it oppresses and exploited.
This is why we talk about symbolic support. Only very small delegations of FIT assisted to the demonstration to the House of Santa Cruz on June 17th. A couple of lawyers who give solidarity, one or two worker delegates, of the hundreds and hundreds they lead, and some random phrase saying they support the fight against the 6,500 prosecuted. No one can doubt of the public positions they had in their papers; they support the workers of Las Heras. But how can this help? This is a small contribution. Because the qualitative leap forward taken in the attack to the workers of Las Heras, who can suffer a lifetime in prison ruled by the bourgeois justice, is a key battle against the executioners of the people, which is we don’t win, we will all lose. This is why there, in Las Heras, we must place all the forces of the working class and youth, and even those who call themselves democrats in this country. Because in Las Heras there is already judged that fighting for wages, use the right to go on a strike and march is a felony. The fascist court act openly denying torture since it hasn’t been denounced when it took place. This is how cynical are the torturers. In Las Heras WE MUST PUT ALL OUR FORCES. This is what we did for Mariano Ferreyra and it wasn’t enough. Because we didn’t fully judge and punish the bosses who gave the order, the Affair Ministry that gave the order to free the zone, the Minister of Labor, i.e. the government who encouraged the massacre. But for Las Heras, we haven’t even put 10% of these forces to fight. It is time to do it. What stops it? Why not with the prosecuted of Las Heras? Is it that they don’t want to be enemies of the state because a cop died? What do workers have to do with this?
As happened with the Martyrs of Chicago, there is no point in showing the thousands of proofs that they weren’t in the scene of the events, since they are condemned in forehand.
If there is a court claiming for justice and the only ones who had weapons were the polices shooting at the people. Why can’t they see this bravely? Do they lose votes?
When there was the strike in Las Heras in 2006, EVERYONE went there. Leaders, tens of workers’ organizations. But when gendarmerie arrived and one of the comrades was imprisoned and workers were beaten for demanding his freedom, little by little they left town. What was left in Las Heras? The videlist regime imposed by the “democrats” of the UCR and PJ with years of siege and 7 years of prison and torture for the workers and the people.
FIT must change their way. Even of SELFDEFENSE. On behalf of hundreds and thousands workers fighters of FIT prosecuted. They must change their way, they are still on time.
We call not only the leadership, but also the workers and youth who are looking for justice, who have blood in their veins, which boils when they see workers in jail, prosecuted or chased. We do trust them that they will impose truth and a way to reach Las Heras with all the forces to the leadership of FIT.
We are still on time to change the way of the events. But for that aim FIT and the 6,500 prosecuted fighters must take in their hands this fight and set up a REAL committees of masses supporting the fighters of Las Heras that carry on forceful action. We must march to CGT and CTA to demand a fight plan, the general strike for the workers of Las Heras, for the freedom of the prisoners of Corral de Bustos, for wages and jobs. The banner of fight against the tax to wages and against labor outsourced was raised by the oil workers of Las Heras, the railway workers in the fight with Mariano Ferreyra, like the subway workers did fighting for the 6 hs shift and thousands workers’ fight in the last years. Whoever wants to fight against the tax on the wages wether supports the workers of Las Heras or is on the side of the bosses and the government. As union bureaucracy is doing who haven’t moved a finger and have silenced this lynching of the workers of Las Heras.
Forceful measures must be taken: FIT could put most of the hours on TV and radio to the service of the children, relatives and wives of the prosecuted workers of Las Heras.
The court is a fake. Altamira, Casitllo, Oliveros, Godoy and other leaders and PM and candidates of FIT must go to the court and disregard it as a real scaffold where workers of Las Heras are lynched.
Yes, we state, forceful measures, like asking ATE, ADOSAC, etc., an office in Caleta Olivia, to set up there a COUNTER COURT with working class leaders and from the revolutionary youth to judge that cave of fascists, or torturer judges and murderous polices who want to condemn our comrades.
Why CEPRODH and the buffet of lawyers of PO who support the working class can’t coordinate with CORREPI –which has authority enough fighting against the state- this Counter Court in Caleta Olivia? What is preventing it? What prevents that FIT lead this big fight? NOTHING.
Nothing prevents either, except some oversight, that the parliamentary list of the candidates of FIT in Santa Cruz be also the oil workers who are in the scaffold, their women and children. This is the real Front of Left and Workers (FIT) that exploited people need. “Memory, Truth and Justice”? Why does mister Perez Esquivel go to Formosa and not to Las Heras?
The oil companies, the right wing bosses of UCR and oppressor government of Kirchner put all their weight in the balance to lynch the workers of Las Heras
Workers and youth’ struggle organizations must put all our forces to take the comrades from the scaffold where exploiters put them
The Committee of Solidarity with Las Heras can’t keep going backwards. They call a rally for July 26th, when the trial will be almost over and in fact workers almost convicted, after doing a small demonstration to the House of Santa Cruz with small delegations claiming being part of the Argentinean vanguard. Let’s be clear, over 10 thousand workers met in Puente Pueyrredon claiming trial and punishment with all the assassins of Kosteki and Santillan, starting with Duhalde who gave the order of repress.
We state, a forceful measure, the forces that met in Puente Pueyrredon, who from the box seat demanded the acquittal of workers of Las Heras, have what it is needed to fence and surround the House of Santa Cruz; set up a vigil and fence the house of the executioners of workers until we pull our comrades from the scaffold. These measures are part of a fight plan of the workers organizations to release the prisoners. They are just a few proposals to put all the weight and not just a few beans in favor of the exploited.
ALL THE WEIGHT MUST BE PUT. The Committee started as a big conquer. Brave currents against the state as CORREPI put all their forces, the workers of Garrahan and the bus drivers of Line 60 put their offices to receive the workers of Las Heras. Why can’t do the same with assemblies in all the factories and workplaces led by FIT? We would have had today a powerful struggle committee in favor of the comrades and all prosecuted workers.
PRS (Causa Obrera – Workers Cause), acting as spokesman of FIT, is the current who proposed the rally on July 26th, together with the lawyers and a representative of Partido Obrero and one of PTS. In the meeting, they even proposed, which we didn’t accept, do a delegation to meet with FIT so this last one take the campaign. Deplorable.
Everyone is where they want to be. Here no one can say that they don’t know about the meetings. FIT isn’t part of the Committee because is leaving the court to session and delegated to the lawyers who defend the workers properly, which can’t even be done coherently for the distance. The problem of doing a next action and in the worst conditions on July 26th is that no one can doubt that in 30 days from now judge Lembeye and her fascist court will have hands free to act, continue with the fake trial and condemn the comrades for life time sentence. We are not before “democratic” judges, as systematic left thinks, who can be press with campaigns, posters, statements and good lawyers to change their way. The entire trial is prepared to condemn, only a bastard, like the liberal lawyer Fernandez who after the 3rd session of the trial left the comrades without defense, can think that this is not the scenario, that the condemn has been written and only a decisive fight can revert it.
Lawsuits are being reopen. Like the one of Hermosilla to end with his shop steward rights, as well to the militant shop steward commissions like in Jabon Federal and FATE. There are prisoners from the starving people who rebelled, in the prison of the regime. The “democratic” judges act like the fascist. They have put the sword of Damocles over the head of the of the working vanguard so they don’t set up and lead new struggles. The prison to the workers of Las Heras today, would mean that this sword of Damocles will fall sooner than later over the heads of all the exploited people. WE CAN’T ALLOW IT.
We can’t keep waiting any longer, wasting more time. We must centralize an emergency meeting of all worker, popular and militant student organizations right now to revert the situation by conquering a fighting plan.
FIT, unions, students federations, human rights organizations like CORREPI, have the authority and force to conquer this.
In 2006 over 200 workers organizations and shop stewards from factories met in Hotel Bauen to coordinate the fight for the oil workers of Las Heras. This meeting went through and lasted as much as a blow in the wind. We call those forces back, which today are many more, but this time to release the comrades from the scaffold. We can’t wait another minute.
We must with this electoral fever. The question aren’t 100 or 200 thousand more or less votes, but the freedom of the comrades. Because if this claim doesn’t exit, not in the small papers who a small amount of people read, but on TV and radio where millions of workers hear and see, the campaign of FIT is missing one leg: the implacable fight against the oppressors’ state, which they, as Marxist, know very well it is narrowed to a gang of armed men.
Argentinean left has two choices. Whether follows the way they are going now, and they should look in the mirror of the Brazilian WP and left bureaucracy of Brazil, who were expelled and were in the opposite barricade of the millions of starving people who said enough to the plunder and brutal repression of murderous Dilma’s government and WP. The other way they have is putting all the forces they have conquered to the service of the fight to open the path to victory, which they will conquer in the street and the extra-parliamentary masses fight. This is how socialists use the electoral tribune. All the other ways we have seen it. We have the example of MAS, with a million more insertion in the working class that all the forces that are part of FIT today. There was nothing left of it. But before its explosion, let’s not forget, that didn’t deprive the right of taking flowers to the army in La Tablada.
People say that history repeats itself. But this time will repeat as a tragedy.
Aware, advanced and sharp workers and revolutionary youth won’t allow it.
Our forces, both national and international level, are 100% focus in the balance of the workers of Las Heras, in defending 6,500 prosecuted and all the attacked workers of the world. The bars over with signs of support with the worers of Las Heras in the face of the repressors of the courts are a proof of it. But we aren’t happy about it. This has to be only the beginning, with all the aware forces of world working class, from Occupy Wall Street to the Indignados of Madrid, from the pickets of the South African workers who are fighting against Anglo-American must be stronger with their class brothers prosecuted in Argentina. The fight for the freedom of the comrades is just beginning. The currents of the Argentinean left have leaders that support their position who are also prosecuted, as happens with the socialists of Greece, like Savas Michael-Matsas, who is accused of incitement to violence by the fascist Golden Dawn. These same fascist forces are the judges of the oil companies who want to punish severely the workers of Las Heras.
We must double the international campaign against the attack of imperialism, TNCs and oil companies against the world working class. We must take from Obama and Bush’s Guantanamo the prisoners tortured by fascists officials of US Army. We must join our forces in Argentina and the world. We must call to march towards the Argentinean Embassy, showing that this is a government servant of imperialist pirates who only shoots fireworks on April 2nd for Malvinas, but every day it defends the interests and business of BP and US-UK imperialism.
In Argentina we must stop the anti worker reaction that, with judges, Kirchner’s government and UCR is increasing and wants to impose a lynching to the workers of Las Heras to scare the working class and keep guaranteeing the Argentina maquila, based on the party for TNCs and starvation, misery, oppression and prosecution for workers and poor people.
Enough! From all workers organizations, shop steward commissions and militant shop stewards (Kraft, Pepsico, Fate, SUTNA/San Fernando, Rail Way Sarmiento Branch Haedo, Hospital Garrahan, subway workers, opposition teachers unions SUTEBA, the bus drivers of Line 60, etcetera), together with the unemployed workers movement and students federations, we must organize a wide coordination of all those who fight for wage increase, against labor precarization, for decent jobs, for the freedom of political prisoners, the acquittal of the oil workers of Las Heras and to en prosecution to the 6,500 prosecuted fighters.
Thus, by increasing the unity among workers ranks and setting up a Struggling Workers Front, we must impose to CGT and CTA union bureaucracy, which haven’t moved a finger to fight for the acquittal of the workers of Las Heras, A PLAN FIGHT AND THE GENERAL STRIKE. We must fence the House of Santa Cruz, stay on it until our comrades of Las Heras be released. We must set up now a Counter Court against the oil companies and their torturer judges and servant politicians. We must set up all forces in the street because there we will release the workers of Las Heras from the scaffold; we willtake from the jails those imprisoned for fighting against starvation in Corral de Bustos, Bariloche, Rosario and the suburbs of Buenos Aires; and we will remove the sword of Damocles from the head of the working vanguard and we will put it in exploiters' neck.
