Workers of Austral Construcciones spent months claiming for their jobs, unable to get their daily bread for your family. While Lazaro Baez, Kirchner´s frontman, and owner of Austral Construcciones, made his fortune at the expense of the bones and muscles of the construction workers. Layoffs continue; Incro’s bosses yesterday laid off 40 construction workers, leaving entire families in the street.
Since yesterday, here in Las Heras, all construction workers who perform work in the oil fields but with worse agreement than the oil workers agreement, are on strike and making pickets in solidarity with their fired coworkers of Austral Construcciones
Each of the companions who were in the route, felt that if they did not stop layoffs then it could happen to them. The solidarity of all construction workers to the condemned oil workers of Las Heras was huge; everyone understood that you cannot fight if you have comrades as hostages.
Today many comrades joined the picket and the oil companies are not able to work as they wish, since many oil workers have also expressed solidarity and are not going to work.
Today, an Assembly to inform the situation was held in the route N°43 with more than 400 workers UOCRA and where the general secretary Cristian Salazar had to be present. Most workers of INDUS raised to stay together, "divided we cannot fight "they said and many workers are afraid of being prosecuted like many comrades, most workers of INDUS, were condemned for fighting. A comrade took the floor and said "we must also fight for their acquittal" all workers started clapping. Then Omar Mansilla, one of the condemned workers took the floor and said, "I am a construction worker and I'm doomed to go out to fight for my rights in 2006, because we wanted to be under oil collective agreement, I ask all comrades to raise the flag for our acquittal which led to every factory and every place I go "... it was a moment of excitement where all comrades applauded and then took pictures with the flag of the commission of condemned workers, relatives and friends of Las Heras. The banner says: for the acquittal of workers sentenced to life prison and jail and the acquittal of teachers and truckers of Tierra del Fuego.
At the assembly they discussed how continue in solidarity with the dismissed workers of Austral and in defense of all jobs.

Today, hundreds of workers were in the road with the fighting measures in support of the dismissed comrades of Austral Construcciones (Southern Building), paralyzing the production at the fields. Only for a few hours the picket was reduced because dozens of comrades went to the funeral of Maria IdaOyarzo Gallardo of 46 years old who worked at a construction company providing the cleaning service, she died today due to terminal cancer.
After three days of fighting and strikes, UOCRA (Union of Construction) leaders stopped the block so they could travel to Rio Gallegos for a meeting with the governor Alicia Kirchner. Many comrades left the route chewing anger, there were three days of blockades and fighting and nothing was achieved for the 1800 families which were left on the street by Lazaro Baez.
Nothing we can expect from the government, which has already laid thousands of state workers, that every time we go out to fight, they repress us, they condemn us to life sentence and jail as it happened to the ten workers of Las Heras, with their justice on behalf of oil companies.
Most of the workers do not want to stop the measure because they know from the experience that as it happened in 2006, the promises of negotiations are a dead letter that melts as soon as workers stop fighting. Many of them are sure that all companies will take measures against workers now, as reducing some bonus for the 3 absent days for the strike. We can only rely on our own strength, struggle and unity, as we showed in these days of picketing, which also received the solidarity of the workers under oil agreement. The latter workers were taken by their union to an agreement that is a trap, what they got was really a scale of suspensions so the oil workers pay for the crisis of the imperialist transnational companies.
