Chubut: the fourth exporting province in the country, bankrupt and plundered, with starving workers, without work, without housing, without health or decent education

In this province of 500,000 inhabitants, the per capita income is 18,000 dollars. The capitalists and successive governments have plundered and bankrupted the province.
Here the slogan is "water is worth more than gold". But the water is in the hands of landowners like Benetton, murderer of Santiago Maldonado. The Chubut River has a hydroelectric dam such as Futaleufú which is owned by Madanes Quintanilla, owner of Aluar (the largest aluminum plant in Latin America) and also of the tire industry such as the Fate factory.
Bulgheroni, owner of Pan American Energy, has been guaranteed by the provincial government the plundering of oil and gas until 2043. The plundering and the voracity of European fishing companies, etc., does not stop.

We have raised up against all of them. That is why, in order to ensure that water is not sold to the monopolies, that they do not destroy our resources and our lands, the workers' movement must stand up together with the poor people as a whole. The Chubutazo marks a before and after in the struggle against all these enemies. Those at the top know this and are preparing to impose different mechanisms of deception and are also preparing with their justice the persecution of the best fighters of the workers' movement and the youth.
