Presentation by Abu Muad

Good afternoon to all comrades here. This is Abu Muad, who is also a member of the editorial board of the newspaper Truth of the Oppressed.

There are going to be speeches here by comrades who, although we will introduce them as part of the Editorial Board of the newspaper, these words cannot fully define the courage of these comrades, nor their work, their actions or their convictions; they haven’t studied become writers for a newspaper, but who bit the bullet. They were convinced that the working class deserves to triumph, today they draw lessons from the battles they have been fighting throughout all these years and they share them and put them in this newspaper.

Thus, we are honored that our editors are not mere students of journalism but comrades who are on the same battlefield giving their lives so that the class triumphs once and for all.

It is a great honor for us to be here today to present comrades of this caliber, comrades from Syria who fought alongside Abd el Basset Sarout, one of the most renowned martyrs of the Syrian revolution, the goalkeeper of the Syrian national team, who, when the revolution began, did not hesitate for a second and took the side of the masses.

It is an honor to present the brother of our leader in Syria, Mahmour Abu Al Baraa.

We will also have the presence of comrade Amir Hakim Al Amery, who, being in Europe, knew how to raise the banner of the Syrian revolution. He carried the whole struggle on his shoulders. He fought absolutely alone against all the treacherous leaderships and today he continues to do so from his place. 

This section cannot be complete without the voice of a comrade who surprises us all every day, because since the revolution began in the Maghreb and the Middle East, she has not stopped fighting each and every day, from her place in the world, contributing her grain of sand, for the triumph of the Syrian and world revolution. She is comrade Silvia from Brazil, who deserves enormous recognition for the work she has been doing during these 12 years.
