From the Commission of Convicted Workers, Family and Friends of Las Heras, we want to extend our condolences to Norita Cortiñas’s family. With great pain, we say goodbye to a comrade who never gave up fighting for the alive appearance of the 30 thousand disappeared in the last dictatorship, she never left any fighter alone, never stopped supporting every worker struggle.

This is what we felt firsthand, in the worst days of persecution and imprisonment in 2006, when we were fighting against the income tax and against job insecurity, she stood with us. When we were sent to trial and sentenced to life imprisonment, she was present at that infamous trial facing the sentence with us.

Our families will be eternally grateful to Norita and all the Mothers who have been accompanying us in this hard fight.
