Argentina - January 7, 2024
30 days after the inauguration of the new government in Argentina
Under the orders of US imperialism Ambassador Stanley, and the head of US South-Com General Richardson…
Milei dresses as an “emperor”
with harsh decrees, “omnibus law”, a de facto “state of siege” and a police regime
With a hyperinflationary economic blow, which creates desperation in the masses, and massive layoffs
They seek to colonize the nation and finish imposing the Argentina maquila
The big capitalists and imperialism have declared war on the workers
We must fight them and go for all of them!
We must prepare a
Revolutionary General Strike
Let them all go away, let not a single one of them remain!
Milei government's war against the working class and the people has already been going on for a month. With the 100% devaluation and the liberalization of prices, they have stolen half of our salary, while the big capitalists are multiplying their super profits with a barrage of savage price hikes. Food prices increased twice as much. Fees, a 300%. Gasoline rose more than 80%. The only thing that doesn't increase is the wages!
While the first days of the “emperor” Milei's mandate we're passing, the first responses of the exploited began against the imposition of these measures against the workers, announced by the Minister of Economy Caputo, the government's decree and the repressive protocol of his Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich.
Thus, on December 20 a march of the unemployed movement took place, which exceeded the limits established by the “anti-picketing protocol”, and, embryonically resuming the fighting methods of 2001, there were spontaneous banging of pots and pans that ended in a rally in front of the Congress until late into the night, repudiating the new measures.
The traitors of the union bureaucracy only reacted when the DNU (decree of necessity and urgency) that actually declares absolute labor flexibility, was clearly shown to touch their business around the union health care system, since this government has put on its task list that it does not need the leaders of the unions un order to develop its offensive against the workers.
The bureaucrats of the CGT and the CTA mobilized on December 27 to pressure the justice system to "defend the workers", while they try to subordinate the struggle of the Argentine working class again at the feet of the bosses' politicians of Peronism, who are precisely the ones who had brutally attacked all the conquests and wages of the labor movement during the last 4 years.
During the Fernández and Massa government, the Peronist party in power was which had first advanced this offensive and left a 20% devaluation and inflation in the month of November alone, and already a year-on-year inflation of 170%. From there it was that Milei started, with the excuse that a “hyperinflation of 15,000% annually” was coming, and delivered a real economic blow to the working class and the desperate masses so that they would accept this ferocious attack suffered by the exploited.
With the blackmail of the economic crash as a gun to the temple of the masses, they only want them to surrender and for the big capitalists and imperialism to win this war that they have already openly declared to the workers and the poor people.
Just a few days had passed since his economy minister Caputo announced these measures, and as we already said, the Milei harsh decree came out, which includes the repeal or modification of more than 300 laws, attacks the heart of the workers' conquests and gives out openly and legally all the wealth of the nation and the direct control of Argentina to imperialism. If this decree is imposed, along with more than 600 articles of the “omnibus law”, Argentina would directly become a US colony.
The true government of Milei, the one that resolves all its steps and the course of attack on the masses, is organized under direct imperialist command and is supported by the CEOs of the large transnationals and companies listed on Wall Street, which are the ones that will end of taking the bulk of the national income from oil, grains, minerals, gas, services, etc. and an enormous mass of surplus value wrested from an already super-exploited working class.
The IMF is rubbing their hands. The country is in default, but it knows that in colonial Argentina it will be able to collect the large foreign debt that the nation has.
Managers and CEOs have taken control of the key levers of ministries and public companies. These Wall Street gangs have divided up Argentina like hyenas dividing up a prey.
The Peronist government, which was used as a “squeezed lemon” by imperialism, is responsible of having created the conditions for this anti-worker, Bonapartist offensive and open colonization of the nation
This counterrevolutionary offensive of imperialism is based on the fact that, during the last 4 years of Peronist government, the ranks of the working class were divided, with the union bureaucracy handing over the workers' conquests, starting with the salary in each collective bargain that was agreed behind inflation, and guaranteeing the capitalists that 70% of the labor movement is totally enslaved, surviving as self-employed workers, constantly entering and exiting the productive process, either as unregistered and/ or brutally flexibilized labor. Meanwhile, in the public administration, tens of thousands of “monotributistas” (false self-employed, in fact shadow dependent laborers, NT) are obliged to bill their salaries, as if they were a company, what leaves them without any type of labor rights.
It was the Peronist government, through the betrayal of the union bureaucracy, that was in charge of advancing labor flexibility and precariousness and separating a minority of the unionized working class from the vast majority of the workers and impoverished and desperate sectors. The latter were the basis of Milei. Peronism said “where there is a need, a right is born,” when they had already left 70% of the working class and large sectors of the ruined middle class without rights.
The pitiful role of the parliamentary left
In the last year, crossed by more than 3 elections (the provincial and the national ones and the runoff), the FIT-U carried out an electoral campaign, including the primaries, which promised that with “more deputies” from the left in the Parliament, this bad situation would end... Of course, “also fighting”... They thus raised a pacifist and "gradualist" program that, supported by the unionized upper layers of the labor movement, spoke the language of reformism, while the FIT-U deputies voted 24 laws to the Fernández government and to the IMF agent, as former “superminister” Massa was and even today is. All this when millions already hated the Peronist government and were desperately looking for an immediate solution to their crisis and their sufferings.
The cruel parliamentary cretinism of the Argentine reformist left, which cost them their open electoral stagnation, contributed to leaving the working class totally disorganized and without a coordinated pole of struggle, an alternative to the bureaucracy that the FIT-U refused to stand up, both before and during the electoral process.
Along with Stalinism, sectors of the FIT-U continued to lead the unemployed movement like beggars to demand a package of rice from the Ministry of Social Development, very far from putting those enormous forces to be the advance guard in the fight against the traitors of the union bureaucracy, which for years have left unemployed workers to their fate and to begging for alms to the state.
The unions and the unemployed organizations led by the left were divided around which FIT-U party won the PASO... Regrettable. A tragedy.
There were a thousand opportunities. And now that the government is fiercely attacking the workers, the workers' vanguard will have to improvise a regrouping of its ranks. The parliamentary left cannot look the other way.
In the middle of the electoral process and weeks before the presidential election, the people of Jujuy revolted with pickets and roadblocks. There reformism had managed to win 23% of the votes. Far from regrouping the forces of the working class of the entire country, taking as a fulcrum the fight of the workers of Jujuy, the leaders of the FIT-U went hunting for votes, regardless of where they came from, even adapting to Kirchnerism. Thus in Jujuy they did not end up getting even 7% of the votes.
In this way the FIT-U contributed to dispersing the ranks of the proletarian vanguard and not preparing it for the decisive combats between revolution and counterrevolution that are already here.
The margins of concessions between the classes have ended. US imperialism is coming for its “backyard” and all its sources of raw materials, and is keen to maintain its hegemony over imperialist Europe and bring China and Russia to their knees; the US returns to the world with the power of its guns after the Trump era, now of the hand of Biden.
At a 180° angle of preparing the working class for these conditions, the FIT-U deployed all its pacifism and parliamentary cretinism that left it totally weakened, without any type of authority and without arousing any type of sympathy in millions and millions of exploited people who now don't even eat twice a day.
Argentina was brought to a brutal bankruptcy by imperialist plunder, the superprofits of the capitalists and the betrayals of the Peronist union bureaucracy
Of this bankrupt Argentina, which is in fact in a true default with the IMF, with a capitalist mode of accumulation already exhausted, with a flight of foreign currency of more than 450 billion U$D, with a takeover of superprofits by the capitalists that push day by day to a galloping inflation, with desperate masses who were distanced from the unions and labor organizations by millionaire union bureaucrats who tied their fate to Peronismo, the other great party of the US embassy...
It is from this Argentina that this pestilent Milei government arises, full of demagoguery and with Bonaparte pretensions, which shows that big capital reads very well the situation in Argentina. It has sent his whip Milei to discipline the masses, speaking the language of civil war against the hated regime of parties.
Throughout last year, the AEA (Argentine Business Association) council of the big transnational companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange, which control the key sectors of the nation's productive forces, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Argentina (AmCham), spent their time in a state of permanent assembly, meeting almost weekly, making all the presidential candidates take a test on the plans they had. There was the true power of the exploiters, who today have formally taken over the government and, as it could not be otherwise, have Bonapartized the entire regime.
They take advantage of the fact that the arch-reactionary Constitution of 1853 gives the president monarchical powers, as it also grants them to the bourgeois justice and its Supreme Court. From there comes the legitimacy that Milei shows to try to dress as an “emperor.”
What is clear is that the transnationals have decided to get rid of all their political agents who are very expensive, to directly take control of the state.
Thus, the crisis and bankruptcy of the Argentine semi-colonial capitalist system are accompanied by the crisis of parliamentarism and any margin of concession to the masses.
In a fierce and raw struggle and class war this issue will be defined.
The bourgeoisie has achieved an enormous triumph: it has set up a general staff at the height of the war it has to wage, while the workers, with their corrupt unions, led by the traitors of the union bureaucracy, come with their ranks divided, with an ultra-minority unionized layer that has even seen and sees the purchasing power of its wages losing day by day, with miserable collective bargains. Meanwhile, millions and millions, that is, the vast majority of workers are outside the unions, without any rights, enslaved and exploited.
The outcome of this war has not yet been defined nor will it be defined in any electoral process. It will be defined in the class struggle.
To put up this battle and respond to this brutal attack by the capitalists, the working class needs to unify its ranks by Meana of a new revolutionary program and a new leadership that is up to the fierce war that those at the top have waged on it.
Argentina, the new model of imperialism to make a qualitative leap in the colonization process of Latin America
Before the elections, Commander Richardson arrived in the country to tell Fernández, the “progressive” president, as sectors of left-wing circles of the petty bourgeoisie call him, that the lithium from Argentina, like it is already that in Peru and soon will be that in Bolivia, is “for the Americans.” US companies, together with their Canadian partners, have already obtained 90% of the lithium that is available in Argentina.
Previously, the Kirchners had signed secret agreements for the exploitation of Vaca Muerta with Chevron and had handed over almost 50% of the YPF share package.
Milei government under US imperialists’ command is now coming for everything, to complete the work of keeping the natural gas and oil from Vaca Muerta in the hands of US corporations and privatizing YPF, while the same CEOs of the big oil companies are now managers of the state oil company.
The natural gas that is already extracted from Vaca Muerta and the business of constructing large gas pipelines is for the US imperialists and for associated big companies like the steel company Techint that are listed on Wall Street.
This is what the decree and the “omnibus law” that the “emperor” Milei sent to Congress is about. The surrender to imperialism, all the way.
Open skies are handed over. Aerolíneas Argentinas’ air routes are surrendered so that any company can establish itself. The 200 nautical miles of the Exclusive Economic Zone are handed over, an issue that liquidates national fishing. The land is handed over, giving every imperialist power the right to purchase national land without any limits. The large water reserves of the Guaraní aquifer are also delivered. Land, sea, sky, minerals and the rich soul of the Pampa Húmeda…
In addition, all types of customs barriers are lifted and there is freedom for every company to export and import as it pleases, an issue that will leave open the flight and looting of foreign currency by imperialism, transnational companies and all capitalists.
Imperialism is coming to openly transform Argentina into a colony.
With the package of more than 600 laws that he has sent to Parliament, the “emperor” Milei seeks to guarantee a majority in all his commissions and in both Chambers, in a pact with the other “right” party, the PRO of Mauricio Macri, and with broad sectors of Peronism and the UCR, to transform Congress into an advisory board of “princes”.
Milei, wielding Richardson's club in hand, announces that, if the laws are not voted for, he will call a plebiscite, that is, a totally undemocratic fraud where he will call on the people to vote yes or no on 600 laws that millions of people will never know or understand.
This plan is the one that imperialism must finish imposing in its “backyard.” It has already happened in Peru with the military coup. Ecuador, which has a dollarized economy (an issue that the “Bolivarian” Correa himself maintained), is already another star on the US imperialism flag. Chile, where the murderous dictatorship of Pinochet made progress in applying this plan and the Stalinist Boric fulfills his duties neatly, it is the model already conquered by USA for all of Latin America.
Mexico is part of NAFTA, the free trade agreement with the US... and on top of that its president, López Obrador, wants to pass off as a "leftist."
Colombia is also the model to apply in Argentina: there are 9 military bases where US centurions, delegated by the same US Southern Command, decide who does business and how it is done and manages the looting of that nation, its minerals, its land, its hydrocarbons (and it's drugs, very well managed by the DEA). The “leftist” Petro, supported by Stalinism and the shameful Latin American left, is the new administrator of the regime of the US bases in Colombia.
Brazil oscillates between its businesses with the US and imperialist Europe. The powerful São Paulo bourgeoisie, associated with the Franco-German axis, resists complete colonization by US imperialists. But it has already openly accepted to be under US military discipline, carrying out common exercises with US navy in the Atlantic.
The defeat to which the mass anti-imperialist processes in Latin America were led by that scam of the “Bolivarian revolution” and the surrender of Cuba to imperialism by the former Stalinist bureaucracy, which allowed the emergence on the island of a new gang of anti-worker “gusanos” (servile capitalists) is what creates the conditions that feed this final offensive by the US imperialists and the emergence of a proto-fascist movement, which has yet to be tested as such, like that of Milei in Argentina.
US plan and the pro imperialist bending of the Argentinean bourgeoisie
Milei's measures for going all the way in the handing over Argentina to open colonization have not finished. His “omnibus law” proposes to give the Executive Branch full powers to bring in contingents and personnel from foreign armed forces to carry out combined exercises, which will all be with the North American Navy, set up military bases in Argentina and even participate in so called “peace” missions with the US troops in the world. We very well know what this is about.
The pro colonizer submission of the Argentine bourgeoisie, including all its sectors, demonstrates that they are a complete “anti-national” class, a lackey of imperialism.
This is how the 19th century ended and the 20th century began: with dominant elites completely turned into servants, lackeys, lowly junior partners of English imperialism, until the US finished controlling Argentina with the withdrawal of England after the Second World War and the Perón government surrendering to the US offensive, fleeing Argentina and leaving the masses at the mercy of the counterrevolutionary attack of the deeply anti-worker coup of 1955.
Not even the military dictatorship of the ‘70s went as far as Milei intends to go today. Furthermore, the genocidal dictatorship, to save itself from the hatred of the masses, embarked at the last minute in a “patriotic” war, believing that the US was going to support them against England in the Malvinas and they found themselves in the middle of a fight against Anglo-US imperialism. That murderous dictatorship, with its genocidal generals and officers, proved to be “brave” to massacre the unarmed people, but ended up on its knees, as it has always happened, before the American and English imperialist pirates.
Milei's government comes to complete that historical circle. In the Malvinas there is a very powerful NATO military base, under US command.
The cynicism and vile submission of Argentina's sellout bourgeoisie has no limits. We insist, there are already military bases in Argentina: the NATO one in the Malvinas. And the currents that call themselves anti-imperialist say nothing about it. The pro domestic-market Peronist bourgeoisie looks the other way. Scoundrels!
What Milei is proposing amounts to extending the base installed in the occupied Malvinas to different military bases in mainland Argentina.
Such is colonial Argentina: “de-malvinized”, under the orders of the Malvinas occupation forces. This is what the Armed Forces and the repression of Bullrich and the dominant elites are all about. They are true anti-national beings and sellouts, because everyone, including the government, will be under the orders of the US military bases, monitored by General Richardson of the American Southern Command. This is the “restructuring” of the Armed Forces that Milei is coming to do and that the entire Argentine bourgeoisie will support. Crawling lackeys!
In Argentina, the correctness of the Trotskyist theory-program of the Permanent Revolution Is corroborates by life, when it states that the working class is the only authentically national class, capable of confronting imperialism because both have irreconcilable interests with one another, just as the workers with the bourgeoisie that enslaves them daily.
The native pro domestic-market bourgeoisies, the famous SMEs, etc., are nothing but prebendary classes of their larger imperialist partners. There is no doubt that, with the free market, these bourgeois sectors would have to close their factories and become importers as they did during the periods of Martínez de Hoz and Menem.
Tying again the fate of the struggle that the working class has begun against the Milei government to the Peronist bourgeoisie and the national bourgeois gangs is suicidal for the labor movement and the nation, because these factions are monitored and directed by Stanley, the US ambassador to Argentina, and the IMF, in the same way that the Peronist union bureaucracy.
Imperialism is going to preserve the Peronist bourgeoisie because it knows that, if the current plan fails, Peronism would be the mattress to cushion the fall. They have already done this with Morales and the MAS in Bolivia, which they called again after the coup by Áñez, Camacho and the police crashed against the heroic civil war with which the workers and peasants responded.
The colonization plan of Argentina implies the Bonapartization of the regime and the Milei government: the setting up of US American bases and shielding the regime by giving it a totally police character, which goes to the extreme of wanting to prohibit demonstrations of +3 people and imprison anyone who organizes them.
Added to this is that the “omnibus law” includes “declaring a public emergency” so that the legislative branch delegates all its powers to the president for 2 years, extendable for 2 more years (that is, during his entire term). The closest experience to this in Latin America is Fujimori's self-coup in Peru in 1992.
Milei wants the Parliament to accept by its own motion to cease its functions and delegate them to the “emperor”, that is, to the US embassy.
Those at the top are coming for everything. The working class needs an independent program and strategy to defeat them, threatening to take everything from them, because only the smallest of demands can be achieved if the ruling classes see that they are about to lose everything.
The era of reformism is over, and the era of revolution has begun, a revolution to stop this offensive of imperialism, which as we see today, is capable of going very far. The US drowned the uprisings in Latin America in worker and peasant blood, such as in Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia... They have just covered up the massacre they commanded in Syria and now it is crystal clear that those who direct this colonization operation of Argentina are the same Wall Street parasites that support the murderous arm of Zionism to cause a holocaust to the Palestinian people.
We must tell the working class the truth: these are the conditions of the battlefield.
Minority sectors of the ruling classes doubt, but they know that the alternatives are: this plan or an explosion of the exploited and starving. With the economic blow, they seek to contain them. By subjecting the masses to the Peronist “opposition” bourgeoisie, they will want to lead them astray. But the clash between classes is inevitable.
The proletariat must be provided with a program that attacks capitalists’ property, where the minimum demand is the expropriation and takeover without compensation of all the assets of the looters of the nation and the people.
In the Argentine maquila, devastated by the imperialist offensive, the value of all goods is increasing in a hyperinflationary manner: food, energy, gasoline... Even the air we breathe. The only commodity that does not have “inflation”, that has not changed its value, is the labor force, which is what produces all the goods and all the wealth of the nation.
This must be the starting point of any revolutionary action program of the working class to unite its ranks and prepare a fierce counteroffensive against the exploiters.
The working class, leading the impoverished middle classes, must lead the fight against the colonization plan and open a counteroffensive to defeat the government and the infamous regime
This lackey government of Milei and the PRO is aiming to a full-fledged attack against the working class. Like any government of large transnational corporations and imperialism, no matter how much demagoguery it exhibits to win over the middle classes and desperate sections of the masses, these same sectors are the first being attacked to grab from them away every last cent and make their existence impossible.
As we have seen, the government seeks to impose 100% labor flexibility and liquidate the salaries of all layers of the working class with a skyrocketing inflation. The salary is the only commodity that has not increased and has not only lost more than 80 points of its value, but it is deteriorating day by day due to the daily price hikes and mark-ups.
Not to mention the tragedy that pensions mean, as even with the addition of misery bonuses from the Massa government and now from that of Milei do not allow the retirees to live 3 or 4 days in today's Argentina... These are miserable capitalist governments. They starve the workers who wore up their lives working to build the nation's wealth, while the exploiters and their agents stole it and fled billions of dollars out of the country.
With the brutal increase in housing rentals, the higher fees of all public services, the increase in healthcare and private school fees, they are also going after the middle classes, which were the social base of both the PRO government and now the Milei one. This is how “unfair” the parties of transnational corporations and imperialism are. They are not going for an alliance with the middle classes, but rather they have used them and now seek to finish looting them, as they also do with their own competition.
The big bourgeoisie knows that the Argentine middle classes save in dollars. By making their lives unsustainable, they are forced to part with their savings, which are estimated to be more than 90 billion dollars kept ‘under the mattresses’ by the middle classes. This is how the IMF will get paid and there will be dollars for them to take out of the country.
The plan is concrete: increase the surplus value that is extracted from the labor movement and the wage bill as a whole, with over-prices, extract savings dollars from the middle classes and loot all the natural resources and sources of raw materials and wealth that Argentina has. Nothing new under the sun…
The working class, leading all the oppressed masses, is the only one that can head the fight against this regime and government and its plan of hunger and looting. The task of reconstituting the working-class and popular alliance in Argentina is also being imposed by the whip of capital, but a revolutionary leadership of the proletariat is needed to remove that whip from the shoulders of the people. The working class is the only class that, due to its place in production, can attack the property and super-profits of the capitalists and put an end to the imperialist plunder.
The Peronist government, as we said before, has already handed over, together with the union bureaucracy, 70% of the outsourced and paid-under-the-counter working class.
The capitalists, the government, their Ministry of Labor and the union bureaucracy itself know where more than 7 million workers in Argentina are and are reduced to servitude. They know in which factories they are working illegally, in which farms they are enslaved, in which underground workshops they are super-exploited. They know where the millions of outsourced workers are who earn half or a third of what unionized workers make.
The economic crash in Argentina in the last 4 years found the labor movement with the leadership of their organizations handing over their conquests one by one, first of all, salary and work, leaving the majority of workers outside the collective agreements, and the unemployed movement begging for a plate of food like a beggar.
And yet there are still people who want to blame the working class for the fact that it has not yet intervened in a revolutionary way against this offensive of capital... as if there were a working class separated from its unions and its parties that have betrayed them once and again in the decisive moments of capitalist attack!
The unionized upper layers of labor, with this hyperinflationary offensive and rate increases, are already entering the same desperation and unprecedented suffering as the majority of workers.
The Argentine maquila project is the plan of and what all the capitalist gangs desire to increase their super-profits
As we see, an enormous mass of surplus value has been taken from the workers during these years of Peronist government. Hence the enormous accumulation of wealth of the dominant classes and the reduction of more than 40 points in the workers' wage bill.
It is clear then that all capitalists, from the most important transnational companies to the smallest bourgeois, agree on liquidating severance, paid vacations, collective labor agreements, being able to fire people at will…
All bourgeois factions completely agree on this. Those who fight the most for this are the small bosses, who are as much as or even more slavers and exploiters than the large transnational companies.
The difference between Peronism and Milei is that they wanted to completely impose labor flexibility in an agreement with the union bureaucracy.
But Milei government's plan is different: to liquidate all these workers' conquests in one fell swoop. Hence the DNU and the “omnibus law.”
How do they want to do it? “Legalizing” the 70% of the working class that is paid-under-the-table or outsourced, under conditions of slavery, without the right to a bonus, vacations, being subjected to be fired at any time, earning a third of the salary of the unionized workers, with contracts that end after 8 months…
By “registering” and “legalizing” slave workers under these conditions, all the agreements and achievements of the working class organized in the unions will inevitably fall. The employers will manage to finish sinking the salary and conquests of the unionized layers.
Not to mention the unemployed movement, which, under the tutelage of the so-called “social movements”, is only left with the role of begging for a plate of food in soup kitchens. The film this time will be the other way around: by putting the unemployed movement to beg in the middle of capitalism in a state of putrefaction, they will even lose welfare, like in the '90s.
The lives and jobs of tens of thousands of public servants, such as in health, education, public administration, etc., hang by a thread, as demonstrated by the thousands of layoffs that have already begun.
Their leadership has taken the working class to this extreme.
Big capital has taken notice that the union bureaucracy has already played its role, acting in fact as ministers without portfolio of the Peronist government. Now the Milei government seeks to weaken it to an extreme because it is going for the liquidation of the unions themselves and to wrest all the gains from the unionized layers of the working class. The union bureaucrats have already done their job very well as prison guards of the labor movement and traitors of all the struggles the workers have carried out.
The establishment terminates their work and in “gratitude”, with its “omnibus law” and its DNU, threatens to take away the funds from the union health organizations. They will only accept addicted bureaucrats who support this generalized labor flexibility and guarantee the imposition of the fragmentation and division of the labor movement into multiple unions and by factory and trade, which sign sectoral agreements and even negotiations by company and individual workers with their employers. The immediate consequence of this would be to multiply the catastrophe of the exploited by a thousand.
The fight of the working class against its exploiters is a matter of life and death. But this fight would be impossible to win if left at the hands of the traitors of the union bureaucracy, who divide workers’ ranks and allegedly “defend the unions” by defending only their businesses and their own pockets.
The key for workers to get out of this crossroads is to unite the ranks of workers with the same program and demands for all their sectors.
This will be the way for the labor movement to lead the demands of the ruined middle classes to reestablish the worker and popular alliance as it did in Cordobazo, in the '70s with the factory coordinators, in the great mass actions such as in 2001, when the picket, the pot-banging (cacerolazos) and the general strike defeated the De la Rúa government in the streets and the masses opened an enormous revolutionary process. Precisely, because the Argentinazo did not succeed, the conditions were created for this infinite decline of the nation and its oppressed classes.
The way out then is to conquer a revolutionary program to unite the divided workers ranks, with the method of assemblies and workers' democracy, recreating and recovering the internal commissions and bodies of delegates, developing the self-organization bodies that embryonically emerged while fighting the Peronist government during these years, and setting up organizations of political struggle of the workers and all the impoverished and attacked layers of the population. This is the path that the workers will have to follow in order to start a true counteroffensive.
This would open the possibility of resuming the path of 2001, which took place despite and against the betrayals of the union bureaucracy that had sold out all the workers' and national gains in the '90s.
The workers' movement needs a new program, a new leadership and united front organisms of political struggle to fight and unite its ranks!
Let’s make the imperialist bandits, the oligarchy and the slave-owning bosses pay for the crisis!
In order to make those at the top pay for the crisis, it is necessary to attack the business and super-profits of all the bourgeois gangs of the nation, all of them are commanded by imperialism.
The trade union bureaucracy has raised a totally limited demand to confront the DNU that establishes labor flexibilization. It Is calling for a 12-hour strike, partial and limited, on January 24, to make a deal with the justice system and the bosses' politicians of Peronism, but it refuses to raise the minimum and immediate demands of all the workers who have already been flexibilized for years.
The union bureaucrats claim to be against the flexibilization of labor, but they abandon millions of workers already flexibilized and starving unemployed who can only go to work under conditions of full slavery, unregistered and at the will of the bosses.
The minimum demand to confront Milei's labor flexibilization can only be:
All workers to permanent payroll, under collective agreement, with recognition of their seniority, and progressive fines to all capitalists for reducing the vast majority of the Argentine working class to servitude and slavery!
The bourgeois parasites and their government now speak of the "Argentina economic power" of late 19th and early 20th century. An Argentina where the workers lived in miserable tenements or on the streets and the parasites and the oligarchy took the grain crops and the wealth of the country to England.
Though, even this is a lie. The modern slavers of the 21st century are in reality the revival of the native oligarchies of the "Argentina of 1812", prior to the 1813 assembly that abolished slavery in the country. How far the wretched possessing classes of the nation have come, turning back the wheel of history and leading the country into barbarism and slavery.
We are faced with a government of bandits, parasites and slaveholders who deserve that those of us at the bottom prepare the revolutionary rebellion of the slaves, which will not be crime, but justice.
For an independent proletarian strategy!
The working class must first of all conquer a program to stand up and unite its ranks, to put its foot on the chest of the executioners of the people of yesterday and today, and bring them to their knees For this it must become independent and put an end to all subjugation to the bosses' politicians, the judges kept on double pay by the US and the capitalist bandits and all the institutions of domination of this rotten bourgeois state, from whose entrails this new "emperor" and "procurator" has emerged who has been appointed by the US embassy.
The immediate demand can be none other than:
Minimum, living and mobile wage of $1,300,000 for all workers, indexed monthly according to the inflation rate, by means of a “trigger clause”!
No More workers working unregistered, flexibilized, or as a temporary-contracted worker!
Assemblies of factories and establishments, of local and regional unions, of self-organized and unemployed movements to impose this program as a minimum demand of all the workers in Argentina.
In the face of the services fees hikes and hyperinflation: we must now disavow now all collective bargaining agreements.
Down with the starvation wage agreements!
A single national collective bargaining for the entire workers' movement
We must win a minimum, living and mobile wage indexed monthly, according to the cost of living, increased as they do with food on the shelves, medicines, electricity, gas, fuel, health insurance installments, etc.
In all these years, the transnationals, the food companies, the big laboratories, the oil companies, the car companies and not to mention the banks (which charge 240% interest rates to the state for lending them the money from the people's deposits that they have in their coffers while paying a miserable interest lower than inflation to the savers), have distributed billions of dollars among their shareholders in the Wall Street, London or Tokyo stock exchanges.
The parasites of the utilities, such as the phone, internet, gas, electricity, etc. companies, who have an assured minimum income, have billed these last 8 years what they did not make in the last 40 years. And now they are coming for an automatic monthly fee increase.
Not to mention the high cost of living with the increase in food prices, which is nothing more than the re marking of prices by the capitalists to maintain their super-profits.
Enough is enough!
A system that can't even feed its slaves deserves to die!
Decent jobs for all! Nationalization without pay and under workers' control of every factory that closes, furloughs or lays off!
Reduction of the working day, as was won in the Subway with the united struggle of the unionized workers and the unemployed workers, and distribution of the working hours so that all available hands go into production!
No more begging for handouts!
The Piquetero movement of 2000 must be put back on its feet! As the Piquetero movement of Mosconi used to say: the struggle is for dignified jobs, with all the unemployed going to work for the oil companies that took millions of dollars from the plundering of the north of Salta.
No layoffs of state workers!
The government put in the top positions of the state companies the same CEOs of the transnationals that are dividing up, like hyenas the spoils of the plundered nation. It is these "state officials and workers" the ones who must be expelled and dismissed from their functions in the state, imposing the workers' board of directors on all state enterprises, separating from them all parasitic shareholders.
For a national congress of employed and unemployed workers with mandated rank-and-file delegates!
For a new militant and class-conscious leadership of the workers' movement!
The capitalists say that there is no money and that is why they have to increase the prices of all commodities daily.
They are lying! The workers can unmask this robbery of the people:
Open the accounting books!
Down with commercial secrecy!
The whole society knows how much the workers earn or what an unemployed worker earns.
The workers must know, by applying workers' control in the enterprises and their accounting books, both “official” and “covert”, the costs of their production, to show that inflation is nothing more than the super-profits of a handful of parasites who rob the people.
They come for the interests of the workers. We must attack their property…
Let the people eat first! Monsanto and Cargill and all big funds out! The lands of more than 500 hectares must be expropriated without payment and returned to the nation, starting with those of the Pampa Húmeda that the Roca and Mitre families stole and that the oligarchic families divided up 100 years ago, with false deeds, with the generals of the "conquest of the desert".
Affordable milk, bread, meat and food for those at the bottom to eat!
No more middlemen in the food marketing chain! Workers' control of the entire food production branch!
Milei wanted to burn down the Central Bank. What is needed, before it is too late and the workers and the middle classes are robbed of their deposits in the banks, as in 2001, is to nationalize the entire banking system without payment, under workers' control, in order to defend wages and the incomes and savings of the people.
The Leliqs (Letras de liquidez - Liquidity letters) and all the bonds with which the parasites obtain super-profits by plundering the treasury and the state itself must be immediately disowned and set on fire.
The nationalization of foreign trade, to prevent the under-invoicing of exports and the over-invoicing of imports with which the capitalists evade taxes and flee lots of money from the country, is the task of the moment.
The nationalization without compensation of subsidized private education, private medical insurance and laboratories are immediate tasks so that the working class and the people can be educated and healed and live in dignity.
With this minimum and immediate program, the working class must take out its own decree of necessity and urgency to reorganize its ranks, go on the offensive and go after those at the top.
To defeat the colonization plan it is necessary to expel the IMF and the US ambassador from Argentina…
Out with Stanley and the IMF, the leaders of the conspiracy against the people and of the war that the ruling classes have launched against the exploited!
Out with the British and the NATO military base in Malvinas!
No genocidal US representative or Malvinas murderer on Argentine territory!
Trial to and punishment of all the Videlista officers who still hold their posts or live in peace and quietly preparing a new counterrevolutionary attack!
Down the Videlista “protocol” of repression designed by Bullrich, Milei and Macri, who are preparing to soak Argentina with working class blood! Dissolution of the police and all repressive forces of the state!
For self-defense committees and worker and popular surveillance committees!
Open the way to the workers' and popular alliance!
Picket, strike and pot-banging, the struggle is one and the same!
The exploited masses must take the solution to this crisis into their own hands, without delegating on anyone.
Struggle committees must be set up to unify the demands of the unemployed movement, of those who fight for decent jobs, of those who fight for a salary equal to the family basket, of the laid-off state workers, the tenants, etc., by city, province and nationally.
Open the way to the self-convened, to militant trade unionism, to the assemblies and delegate bodies, to the committees of the unemployed! Make way for the popular assemblies!
We must unite those who struggle to prepare the road to the
Revolutionary General Strike
Only a provisional revolutionary government of the working class and the poor people, supported by the revolutionary mobilization of the masses, will be able to impose this program and even carry to the end any struggle for democratic rights in a consistent manner, breaking with imperialism and expropriating the capitalists.
Open the way for the Argentinazo!
Let them all go away, let not a single one of them remain!
As never before, the immediate alternative for Argentina is to be a colony of Wall Street or a revolutionary and socialist nation
For a new revolutionary and internationalist leadership of the Argentine proletariat
The trade union bureaucracies, the Stalinist and social-democratic leaderships, the parliamentary lefts, have subjected the working class to their own bourgeoisies in Argentina and all the countries of the Americas. This is a criminal policy. The offensive on Argentina is commanded by Wall Street and imperialism, the same ones who are massacring the Palestinian nation with iron and fire.
To break with the IMF and end the colonization of the country, the forces of the Argentine working class are in the American workers, e.g., in the unity with the US auto workers in struggle who have won up to 60% wage increases and a recovery of their gains, which were liquidated during the crash of 2008 by the shameless Obama administration.
Stopping the imperialist attack means to fight for Dignity, together with and as the Chilean workers and exploited did, to set up a front line of pickets and self-defense committees, as was done in Santiago and Colombia, to conquer organizations of mass struggle throughout the country, as did the Peruvian workers and peasants, and to settle accounts with the repressive forces, as did the masses in Ecuador and Bolivia, where they defeated the fascist coup of Camacho and Áñez.
The Stalinist scoundrels handed over the conquest of workers' and peasants' Cuba to imperialism and became the new capitalists, “gusanos” and starvers of the Cuban workers.
They have come to liquidate the slogan of “¡por dos, por tres Vietnam!” (For two, for three Vietnam!) An unfinished task in the whole Latin Americas.
In order to advance along this road, the working class must break all subordination and alliance with the bourgeoisie that paints itself as "progressive" and is a real "Trojan horse" to disorganize the ranks of the workers.
The fight for an independent workers' strategy of the proletariat to recover the workers' and popular alliance is inseparable from the internationalist and anti-imperialist struggle of the Argentine working class.
We Trotskyists, who fight under the banners of the Fourth International, still constitute a small nucleus of revolutionary vanguard workers, who are part of these struggles that have already begun against the police regime of the US embassy and its "procurator" turned "emperor", Milei.
We know that our road to the masses to set up a Leninist, combative, insurrectionalist and internationalist revolutionary vanguard party is inseparable from the struggle to collaborate with the exploited to set up the bodies of self-organization and direct democracy, suitable for the political Mass struggle that is now established against the capitalists.
By fighting to set up the dual power of workers and exploited, the conditions will be created to put Argentine Trotskyism back on its feet and re-found it, under the banners of the Fourth International.
For this battle and for this program we will fight alongside the whole of the workers and exploited. We do not and will not hesitate to accompany every step in the struggle that allows the masses to advance in stopping the war that the capitalists have launched.
We are fighting and will ever fight against the perfidious politics of the parliamentary left, which, far from uniting the ranks of the workers, has unfortunately divided them by fighting for seats in the bourgeois parliament, which is Wall Street's notary office, recreating illusions that some measure in favor of the poor people can come out of there.
This policy, which led them to compete for which is the "strongest current of the left", even meant preventing the conquest of an anti-bureaucratic and militant pole of intervention in the day of struggle and mobilization that the bureaucracy is calling for on January 24: “Sindicalismo Combativo” (“Combative Unionism”), promoted by the PTS and Izquierda Socialista, is calling for a plenary on January 17, while the PO from the SUTNA is calling for January 20. This policy is criminal at this time.
It is necessary to regroup the ranks of the militant vanguard with a National Assembly of the whole militant workers' and picketers' movement in a football stadium, with rank-and-file delegates to vote by a show of hands on the program, the intervention in the struggles and the perspective that those of us who speak in the name of their interests and needs must give to the working class.
For a National Struggle Committee of employed and unemployed workers and militant unionism!
It is time to put an end to the subjugation to Parliamentarism and to open the way instead to a confrontation with the war declared by the capitalists by means of the method of proletarian revolution. There is no time to lose.
Before it is too late…
