Argentina - December 17, 2022
Before a new anniversary of the revolutionary days of December 2001…
Against the IMF and the capitalists who plunder the country and starve the people…
It is necessary that the working class break into the national scene!
Down with the union bureaucracy and the social pact!
We must open the road to the general strike!
For a victorious Argentinazo!
Down with this infamous regime of plunder of the nation and slavery of the workers!
Everybody out!
All the rottenness of a regime of bosses' politicians, imperialist bankers, landowners and big capitalists, commanded by the US embassy, is clearly shown before the eyes of the workers, at a time of a step forward in the attack by the IMF and the government, with inflation, hunger and misery and a redoubled plundering of the nation.
The sentence to CFK has opened a huge political crisis in which, in the heat of a fierce dispute between bosses' gangs, conspiracies between judges, prosecutors, intelligence services in the mansions of foreign tycoons, judicial set-ups, espionage of the intelligence services and police in favor of Kirchnerism, etc., come to light.
Behind the sentence to Kirchner there’s the offensive of US imperialism, which wants to put order in Latin America, at a time of an enormous world capitalist economic crisis. When the revolutionary uprisings shook Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, etc., Washington used its agents of class collaboration to deceive the masses and divert their struggle. Along came the Boric, Petro, Castillo, Fernandez, who guaranteed the continuity of the plunder of the IMF and Wall Street.
In 2019, Cristina put her votes and her party to divert the workers' struggle against Macri to the electoral trap.
Now that these governments have fulfilled their role and removed the masses from the scene, imperialism disciplines them mercilessly. Castillo (Peru) has just been impeached and is in prison. Lula will take office under the whip of the Bolsonarist reaction. Kirchner has a sentence hanging over her head. This is how the servants of imperialism end up!
Some charge against the parliament. Others, against the "mafia" judges, but all of them use the reactionary institutions of the rotten regimes against the working class to preserve their business.
DOWN WITH THE ARCH-REACTIONARY REGIME OF THE ANTI-WORKER ANTI-DEMOCRATIC CONSTITUTION OF 1853-1994!
Enough of millionaire and lifetime judges, of presidents who rule by decree with the powers of kings! We must put an end to the aristocratic senate that keeps its seats for up to 9 years.
Down with the judicial party with which they persecute and imprison the workers and popular fighters! Dissolve the murderous police, gendarmerie and coast guard, which all the bosses' parties want to take to the streets to discipline the workers and the poor people... They are all of the US embassy's party!
The bosses' politicians lie to the people with impunity.... THEY ALL VOTED, like the UCR, the PRO and the Frente de Todos, THE PACT WITH THE IMF. AND THE K'S, WITH A CRITICAL VOICE, GAVE THE NECESSARY QUORUM TO APPROVE IT.
US imperialism wants Argentina to be a supplier of raw materials for the world market: soybeans and meat, lithium, oil and gas. All in the hands of the Anglo-US monopolies such as Cargill, Barrick, Chevron, etc., which means a huge leap in the colonization and plundering of Argentina.
How did the US ambassador Stanley propose to guarantee this? With a pact of national unity between Massa-Fernandez-Rodriguez Larreta, leaving out Kirchner. This is what is behind the sentence to Cristina.
But this opened a huge political crisis in the regime, because it sharpens the crisis of Peronism, hit from the left by the growing hatred of the working class and from the right by the imperialist offensive.
Cristina represents a powerful fraction of imperialist monopolies of Mercosur and has the majority of the Peronist votes of4 Greater Buenos Aires (the area around the capital city). At the La Plata rally she warned the entire bourgeoisie and the US embassy of the danger of this plan: "there is no Argentina without Peronism" (because it guarantees the control of the working class with the nationalized unions and the social pact) "and there is no Peronism without Cristina" (who has the votes of the PJ). And she concluded by saying that a regime supported by the "judicial party" ends badly, as the "military party" did in 1982.
The onslaught of imperialism opened a colossal political crisis in the regime of domination and in the bipartisanship, which still needs Kirchnerism as a bourgeois wing of deception of the people and class collaboration. That is why Cristina says "I will not be a candidate in 2023, let's see how they manage without me", trying to negotiate her place in the regime with imperialism and the oligarchy.
However, in spite of her bravado, Cristina complies with the ruling of the Macrista judges and supports Massa, Stanley's and the IMF's direct man. She knows that to resist she would have to rely on the mobilization and struggle of the working class, something she would never do because she knows that thousands of workers in the streets would end up fighting for wages and jobs against the very government of the Fernandezes and the PJ and the union bureaucracy rams, whom the working class deeply hates.
She is more afraid of the working class than of US imperialism itself, which threatens to put it in jail!
The Kirchnerist slogan of "mafia or democracy" is a swindle. This "democracy" of the Constitution of 1853-1994, a regime of national surrender and slavery of the working class does not work without its judges, prosecutors and intelligence services, which are there to guarantee the private property of the capitalists against the working class under the command of Wall Street and the US embassy. That caste of judges is on both sides: that of the PRO-UCR and that of the PJ, and every week they have secret meetings with the big bosses, the oligarchy and the imperialist embassies like the one in Lago Escondido.
That power, son of the Constitution of 1853-1994, is full of accomplices of the genocide of the dictatorship, who made a career with Videla, Alfonsín, Menem, De la Rúa, Duhalde, the Kirchners, Macri. All of them allowed and legalized the foreign debt, the greatest theft of the nation, and preserved the security of the genocidal officers and the general staff of the Armed Forces. They are part of the heart of the capitalist State, covered up by democracy for the rich, its parliament and its puppet elections!
Kirchner is a cynic. She and Néstor Kirchner, like Macri and the UCR, got tired of using this videlista-peronista-radical judicial apparatus and its forces of repression against the workers, the oil workers of Las Heras, of the Indo-American Park, with Project X of the Gendarmerie, Santiago Maldonado, etc. Today they are doing it with the Mapuche comrades!
Faced with this colossal crisis of the regime and the open dispute between the bosses' gangs, the PTS (FIT-U), with Bregman and Del Caño, propose that the way out is to "democratize" the Videlist-Radical-Peronist caste of judges, the most reactionary and unchangeable institution of the Constitution of 1853-1994, claiming that with judges elected at the ballot box a justice favorable to the people can be guaranteed, when the raison d'être of those judges is precisely to defend the Wall Street banks, the Rural Society, the UIA, etc.!
Bregman, Del Caño and even Solano, refuse to oppose to this whole rotten regime the struggle for a Free and Sovereign Constituent Assembly on the ruins of the regime that could put an end to a president with "monarchic" power and impose a single chamber. On the contrary, in the face of such a crisis of the regime, they limit themselves to propose the popular vote of the judges to renew the judicial caste of this rotten system of the US embassy and its puppet government and its puppet parliament.
Today more than ever, the working class has to intervene in the crisis of Argentina to confront the recolonizing offensive of the US, against Massa and the government, the IMF and all this regime of hunger with strikes, pickets and mass political struggle as in Peru.
Take off the "democratic" mask of Kirchnerism by fighting for a National Assembly, which takes as a first step the confiscation of the lands of the landowner oligarchy and the break with Wall Street and the IMF. It should take the step of nationalizing without payment the imperialist grain, oil and mining companies to guarantee wages, bread, work, health and education to the people. A revolutionary National Assembly that disarms the repressive forces of the regime and arms the people, as the French Revolution of 1789 did against the kings.
A National Assembly that liquidates the presidential institution and establishes a single chamber with executive and legislative powers, with 1 representative per 100,000 inhabitants, removable at any time by his electors and earning the salary of a worker. Dissolve the caste of judges and set up workers' and popular courts.
This struggle for the broadest democracy for the exploited means preparing a workers' and popular counter-offensive to finish the unfinished task of 2001 and to get "Everybody out!", demolishing all the institutions of this regime of hunger, misery and surrender.
The PTS and the parliamentary left, far from defending "democracy" with the democratic-radical program of the Jacobins against the US and all the gangs of capital, sustain the regime of domination in the midst of the political crisis. Unfortunate!
The working class is facing a government of Massa and the IMF that it did not vote for. Peronism promised it bread and gave it inflation and misery, job insecurity and liquidation of the agreements. There’s this Parliament where the PJ made a pact with Macrism to vote each of the measures of the IMF, while they unleash persecution and repression of the workers' organizations with the government and Justice.
A path of rupture of millions of workers with Peronism has been opened, tending to self-organization against the union bureaucracy and its social pact. The struggle for a free and sovereign National Assembly can facilitate leaps forward in this rupture by removing the mask of Kirchnerism and promoting the emergence of organizations of direct democracy of the working class to intervene in the national crisis.
No support for Kirchner! Peronism and PRO-UCR are bosses' parties, agents of Wall Street, enemies of the working class and the people. We workers have nothing to do with this dispute of parasites and lackeys.
We have to defeat the scabs of the union bureaucracy and its social pact, who sold out wages and bread by subjecting the workers movement to Peronism. Dockers, health workers, Acindar metalworkers, unemployed, resist the offensive of the government and the big bosses.
It is necessary to unite the ranks of the workers and set up a congress of workers' organizations of employed and unemployed workers, to unite the demands of the working class as a whole and open the road to the general strike against the plan of the government and the IMF, even calling the workers and the Peruvian people to a common struggle against US imperialism.
We must fight like our brothers in Peru!
For a workers' congress of the employed and unemployed workers that reopens the road to a new Argentinazo, this time victorious!
Down with the union bureaucracy and its social pact. Let the road to the general strike be opened!
Everybody out!
Down with the regime of the arch-reactionary Constitution of 1853-1994!
Free and Sovereign Constituent Assembly, so that the people may have bread, wages and decent work, we must break with the IMF and imperialism and expropriate the parasitic oligarchy!
Only the workers will be able to guarantee this National Assembly, retaking the road of the Cordobazo, 2001, that of the socialist revolution, and installing a workers' and popular government supported by the organizations of self-determination and direct democracy of the exploited in arms.
For this reason, today more than ever, it is necessary to re-found Argentine Trotskyism, setting up the party of Leon Trotsky and Mateo Fossa, a party of the Fourth International of 1938, against the parties of the FIT-U which reneged on Trotskyism and the struggle for socialist revolution and sunk the banners of the Fourth International in class conciliation. |
