CROJA's statement about Bolsonaro's first 300 days
Trump's plan is advancing in Brazil, as the leaderships of the working class and the exploited are preventing them from fighting as in Chile, Haiti and Ecuador
WE MUST BREAK THE BORDERS AND FIGHT TOGETHER
THROUGHOUT THE CONTINENT!
While the Latin American working class attacks with enormous revolutionary actions such as in Ecuador, Haiti and Chile, the Brazilian working class is prevented from fighting against Bolsonaro along with the uprisings of the continent because of the policy of submission of the trade union bureaucracy and the reformist left, motor demands are the same: hunger, unemployment, super exploitation and looting.
The works of "Mister" Bolsonaro, US imperialism man in Brazil
Here is a list of his government main measures since it assumed
- He maintained the Military Intervention in Rio de Janeiro. He applied the GLO (Guarantee of Law and Order, an exceptional mechanism by which the executive sends federal armed forces to help a state to suppress uprisings or manage any other disruption to normalcy during a short fixed term, NT) for long periods to legitimize military intervention in the Amazon.
- He extended and deepened the application of the Labor Reform, greatly increasing the “intermittent” contract that guarantees the employer to hire without direct relationship and pay for hours of work based on the necessary hours of hiring. He had a record in the registration of self-employed workers, all while more than 13 million unemployed people are looking for work and more than 40 million have become chronically unemployed.
- The main measure approved as a priority for imperialism was the Pension Reform. Thus, they intend to get at least US $ 320 billion. In addition to meaning a robbery of social security and retirement funds, this also cuts public budgets such as health and education.
- The privatization plan is a very big one. They want to privatize the Post Office, all airports and ports are already in the process, as is Petrobras, based on sales and “auctions” of deposits of the so-called Pre Sal.
- Petrobras has finished selling off dozens of Atapu, Búzios, Itapu and Sépia deposits, in the Santos Basin, selling one of the most productive in the world in the last week. It is the Buzios Field that has 3 of the 5 most productive wells in the world with more than 40 thousand barrels per day, within dozens of oil fields that have already been finished off and others that are underway. At the same time, refineries and points of supply of gas and derivatives were privatized.
It should be clarified that the sale of the oil fields being of very high productivity were sold at a ridiculous low price, meaning an immediate loss of almost US $ 300 billion, which will not be recovered anymore, since these “auctions” were determined by the percentage offer of royalties by the operating company.
If you think that the proceeds from the privatizations would save the state and union funds, it is not necessary to deceive oneself. The tax reform and constitutional reforms will be the guarantee that the only box left full is that of the IMF.
- For this the government is reforming the tax and tax laws of the union, the plan is absolutely rapacious. All the proceeds will be centralized and the sharing due to the states and municipalities will be greatly reduced. Planned is that small municipalities will be absorbed by larger ones. At the same time, federal, state and municipal workers will receive a grotesque cut in their salaries, also reducing working hours, the workforce will be reduced to a maximum and public buildings closed recklessly, leaving tens of thousands of workers on the streets.
- Thus the government will raise many more resources, centralize them in an institution that rises above the states and decides the reviews and the cuts, that is to say that a Fiscal Council of the Republic is created that will be in charge of safeguarding all the proceeds to hand it over to the IMF. This measure that is under development must be defined before the end of the year to begin next fiscal year with a sufficient accumulation to "build trust", ensuring that imperialism takes absolutely everything.
- Another thing he is preparing is a union reform. This foresees the direct intervention of the state in the trade union organizations, the direct intervention of the employer in the one-to-one negotiations with the workers leaving the union out, liquidating the collective agreements. It is in the plans this reform that comes hand in hand with the already imposed Labor Reform.
The 300 days of Bolsonaro
We are facing a fierce relocation offensive of the IMF and Wall Street. Imperialism advances to the extent that the traitorous bureaucracy and reformism push back the exploited by putting them on their knees before their executioners, celebrating the "Free Lula" while the deprivations of the masses are increasingly unbearable.
We still have more than two months to go to the end of the first year of the Bolsonaro government and the imperialist offensive was felt in the bones of the working class and the exploited in Brazil.
Trump rubs his hands, the IMF celebrates, the capitalists call to follow his example, Bolsonaro complies and executes, his Minister of Justice Moro protects him, his Minister of Economy Guedes applies the leonine plan and directs together with Rodrigo Maia (President of Parliament) the times of the Congress, approving each and every one of the retrenchment plans and constitutional reforms necessary to impose the Trump’s and IMF’ slooting plan.
The repressive leap has been huge. General Heleno (Former Commander of MINUSTAH who occupied Haiti with the UN) as his Minister of Defense guarantees the military intervention of Rio de Janeiro and covered by the Guarantee of Law and Order (GLO) the intervention of the Armed Forces is imposed as a shock troop against those exploited in other parts of Brazil and at the same time it supplies all the gunmen of the field and the city. As we see clearly in the Amazon where the GLO triggered for “contingency” against fires, which meant that in the last 3 months almost 20 landless and homeless leaders were kidnapped, some of them killed in Manaus, others in Pará, Roraima and Maranhão, as happened with landless Indians in San Pablo, and in dozens of locations in Brazil.
Rio de Janeiro's governor, Wilson Witzel, of the Social Christian Party (PSC), along with the caste of officers, has slaughtered more than 2,000 exploited Cariocas in the favelas, dozens of them children, youth and workers, who were targeted by the rifles of the murderous Military Police, the Army and the “militias” (parapolicial groups).
Today the total involvement of Jair Bolsonaro and his fascist dogs of his children with the execution of comrade Marielle Franco and comrade Anderson Gomez has been discovered. The PSOL demanded that the Superior Court of Justice intervene and investigate their involvement with the execution of the comrades. They did not call the working class or its organizations but called the bourgeois regime to act; they joined in their demand with a “parliamentary opposition” that included the PCdoB, which is used to killing and repressing the exploited and quilombolas (Black people living in the quilombos, or Black towns organized against slavery in the colonial times, NT) of Maranhão state, where this party serves its second term in the governorate; the PT that governs in the North and Northeast and applies the same flexibility and reform plans as Bolsonaro; but also with the bourgeois parties like the PDT, MDB, DEM.
Justice intervened, Bolsonaro powered Moro, Moro saved them all, the intervention of bourgeois justice was legitimized, Bolsonaro and his fascist dogs have gone unpunished.
Thus, as PSOL acted at the murder of Marielle they have faced each of the attacks, acting as parliamentarians together with all the bourgeois "opposition" parties, legitimizing Justice and calling it to intervene, asking for "explanations" to the president of the Republic, calling to act as mandated by the 1988 Constitution. That is, tying the hands of the proletarians so that they do not fight and submitting them to the bourgeois Constitutions and regimes.
Today 300 days of government have passed. Nobody can say this government enjoys a mass support having one of the worst records in rejection of a government in such a short time, with little more than 30% acceptance. It is false to say that it relies on a “reactionary wave” when the bureaucracy sold out one by one the workers' struggle and demands and submitted everything to the PT that sustains and legitimizes Bolsonaro. No one can say that it is sustained on a social base of “right-wing workers who resented the PT”, since Lula himself already said that if he were the government he would apply Temer's plans yesterday and Bolsonaro's today. It cannot be said that there is no chance of defeating Bolsonaro, because the working class demonstrates that it wants to fight, the vanguard vibrates to enter the fight with their brothers from Chile, Ecuador, Haiti, and it is their leaderships that separate them and put them on their knees since a while ago these leaderships have surrendered. Nor can they say that all the harsh anti labor and reactionary measures have been imposed with a fascist regime that must be "resisted in defense of democratic guarantees and the rule of law."
Yesterday it was defined in the STF that the prisons sentences into second instance judgments fall, which would take Lula and dozens of imprisoned bourgeois politicians out of prison. This does not mean that it has no cause, but that Lula will respond freely.
The popular front government paved the way for Temer to come; it submitted itself to impeachment; with the bureaucracy and reformism subjected the proletariat to Lula; separated the masses, leaving the middle classes at the feet of (judge) Moro. They refused to throw Temer down; legitimized the elections and then the acts of the bourgeois Justice, and now the bourgeoisie have released Lula as an escape valve for the masses feelings before the imperialist offensive. It is not guaranteed the bourgeoisie succeed.
Notwithstanding that, Boulos of the Homeless Movement and PSOL presidential candidate said "the Constitution has prevailed." Sectors of the PSOL like those of the MAIS (a split from the PSTU that today call themselves Resistance) said that it was an advance in democratic guarantees but that it is not enough ... that is, the plan of imperialism is at full steam and reformism is playing all its game pieces.
Moreover today with the fire of the revolution in America, Lula knows well what he has to do. Alongside Castroism and the scam of the "Bolivarian Revolution", he is one of those who restored capitalism in Cuba, where today US imperialist flag flies in Havana. They are supported by the reformists, but they no longer have the legitimacy they had in 2002, the ashes of 2013 are still hot ... it remains to be seen if the cheating and this deadly trap can be imposed. The CUT and the trade union centrals remain inert, while even the CSP-Conlutas in its Fourth Congress decided that it will demand the Justice “joint and impartial trials against all the corrupt and corrupting” and would request the freedom of Lula, dangerously leading the most combative central union in the country to a road without return of submission to the bourgeois regime.
Without taking this into account it is not understandable how Bolsonaro could impose the enormous adjustments and attacks on the masses in less than a year, including his making fun of the exploited with the enormous devastation imposed in the Amazon with the fires and on the Brazilian coasts with the oil spills.
The Brazilian working class now support the leaderships of the past that subjected them to their executioners, slandered them as fascists in 2013, took them out of the fight against Temer and now paralyze them before the Bolsonaro offensive.
Both the union bureaucracy and the reformists are the main obstacle for the development of enormous mass actions that nest deep within the working class, who have long since been sold out by this leadership. The ongoing revolutionary fighting in Latin America comes as a new wave that can once again get back the Brazilian working class on their feet. They will once again stand up against the exploiters and their sellout bureaucrats and reformists without reform, again shouting "They do not represent us" and "Down with the regime", as is shouted in each decisive battle of the exploited.
