Abril 2019

The wives of the former bus drivers of Line East are heading the fight for their freedom!

We present these interviews made to the relatives of the drivers of East bus line, who were arrested on April 3rd

Interview to comrade Ledesma, wife of Sebastian Mac Dougall

“…They are fathers of family. They are workers. This is killing us inside…”

ORWW: Good evening. Tell us who you are and what the fight that you are waging is.

Ledesma: I am the wife of Sebastian Mac Dougall, who has been imprisoned for 13 days for fighting for his rights on March 2017. We want the freedom of all the 4 arrested: Fiocci, Lazzaro, Pablo Varriano and Sebastian.
They have a set up prosecution. They do not have criminal records. They are fathers of family. They are workers. This is killing us inside. They are not doing anything, just fighting for their rights (the comrade breaks into tears and cannot continue talking).

Interview to Karina, wife of Emanuel Lazzaro

“We will meet to make this massive, for continuing this to be seen and heard”

ORWW: Today, the sister of Daniel Ruiz –who has been in jail for 7 months- spoke. Your husband has been in jail for 13 days. Indeed, there’s a persecution to the comrades that fight for their rights.
K: It is a huge injustice. Thank you so much to all those who are participating and supporting us, because is something that escapes from us, who are people that strive day by day to get every day’s bread.
My husband was a worker. He made little money, buy day to day we strived to keep on living. All of the sudden, coming out of nowhere, all of this appears. This is new for us. It ruins our family, our lives, our routine, even for my daughter. She is 3 years old and cries asking for her father, as she does not see him. This is very painful and very sad. We need our husbands in our homes.

ORWW: Are you having a meeting in ATE-La Plata next Monday (April 22nd)?
K: Yes, we will meet to make this massive, for continuing this to be seen, heard and each time to be more expanded, so the injustice that we are living here in La Plata is known.
