Iranian security forces fired tear gas to disperse anti-regime protesters in the south-western city of Behbahan.
Thousands of people gathered in the city of Behbahan in the Khuzestan (or Alahwaz, home of the Alahwazy or Arab Iranians, NT), chanting slogans against Iranian involvement in other countries in the region amidst the deep economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. "No to Gaza, no to Lebanon, my life for Iran" and "Down with the Islamic Republic" were some of the cries of the demonstrators, who had to defend themselves from the regime's crude repression.
