As you all know, every December 12th, in the anniversary of our conviction to a life sentence in jail, we call to make actions of struggle all around the world, in this day which we have named as “International Day of the Persecuted Worker”
On December 12th, 2013, we, oil workers, were convicted to jail, when we were only protesting for our wage and demands we had as workers of the oil companies that not only plunder Argentina but also entire regions of the planet like the Middle East.
In a Kangaroo Court, under a designed prosecution, we were convicted to prison and even with a life sentence. This conviction is now pending, because of the huge solidarity we have received with our cause and our struggle by all the workers and oppressed of the world.
Since 2013 we have been together with all of them and we have fought for the freedom of all the political prisoners of the world, knowing that when we do it, we fight for our own freedom. We have learnt in our own flesh and experience that an injury to one is really an injury to all.
For that reason,on December 12th once again we thank and fight together with our brothers and sisters of the Basque prisoners and George Abdallah, who in 2013, in the day we were convicted, they rejected their ration of food, making a hunger strike, just as the Palestinian prisoners, fighting for the freedom of all the political prisoners of the world.
We stand in solidarity with the workers and students of Japan, who in 2013 sent their solidarity to the court, the very court which was convicting us, and then they took to the streets marching to the Argentinean Embassy.
We feel that the relatives of the 43 high school students disappeared in Ayotzinapa are our relatives. This last month, hundreds of students of the most important universities in China organized themselves as yesterday in Mexico to fight together with the workers and peasants. Tens and tens were disappeared and some of them were murdered. As we can see, the rage of the repressive forces with the students with the students that seek a way forward together with the oppressed is savage and brutal. But the struggle will never be extinguished and its memory will be undeletable, as well as the struggle for their appearance alive and to judge and punish those responsible.
The spouses of the miners of Marikana, which were murdered in South Africa, are also our widows. The young man Alfon, who is imprisoned in the jails of the Spanish State, is our son. So they are tens and tens of Basque prisoners and the teachers of CNTE, who are imprisoned in Mexico, are our brothers and sisters.
We feel we are brothers of the family Issawi. Their children were or still are in jail because they bravely defended the cause of the Palestinian nation which is occupied by Zionism. We fight for them and all the Palestinian as well as for all the imprisoned fighters in the Middle East, such as the 40,000 Egyptian prisoners, of which are hundred convicted to death.
We feel that the young Anarchist prisoners of Greece are our children. They are imprisoned because they fought against fascism, which strikes, harasses and even kills immigrants and Syrian refugees that, leaving many of them in the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea, ran away from one of the largest genocides of the 21st century, made by Al Assad and Putin with the support of all the imperial powers of the world.
All these years, we have been fighting together with them for the freedom of all the political prisoners of the world.
In Argentina, we still claim for judging and punishing the true organizer and instigators of the murder of the brave young piqueteros Dario and Maxi and so many others they confronted this decomposed system of oppression. The family of Dario is part of our “International network for the liberation of the political prisoners”. We feel Dario as our son and brother, and his father as the father of our children.
On this December 12th, we are proposing to organise a whole week of struggle. We propose that the main characters of this struggle should be the prisoners, from the very jails, and the relatives who claim for justice for those who were murdered by counterrevolutionary mobs. We will only be their voice.
Specially, we call on the political prisoners and the organizations that fight for their freedom to transform this week, from December 12th to 19th into also a week of struggle of the prisoners that are suffering the most and that at the same time are the symbol of all those who fight for freedom: hundreds of political prisoners in Syria, including those of Hama city, who are in death row and started a hunger strike claiming for their freedom before being executed. They fight for decent conditions in the jails of the fascist Al Assad, whose Gestapo has murdered and tortured tens of thousands of fighters of the Syrian revolution. More than 40,000 were killed while others and in the worst conditions of torture in prisons.
During this whole year, there has been actions around the world for the immediate release of the Syrian prisoners. Of course, the executioners and those supporting them such as the UN, keep silence as accomplices, in order to impose a coverage of siege and oblivion over that massacred people.
The Syrian prisoners, together with the Palestinian prisoners, symbolize all the political prisoners that are in the jails in the Maghreb and the Middle East and brutalized in there, as we have been in Argentina.
A symbol of this struggle, for which we call to cry out loud from all the prisoners and cities of the world, this year, are also the 1,700 French prisoners, who today are the advance of the struggle for the demands of all the workers, oppressed and revolted slaves in the world against the 1% of parasites that kept 50% of the wealth of the planet. They are banner of struggle of all the workers of the world that desire to follow the path of the French workers and the people to conquer not only our freedom but also the rights that belong to us.
We want to call to the broadest solidarity with the political prisoners of Argentina. In here, we have two martyrs, murdered by the government of Macri and its police, covered up by the judges paid by the politicians of the traditional parties that made their career in the judicial power in the times of Videla’s dictatorship. Santiago Maldonado, murdered by Gendarmerie, is one of our martyrs. The gendarme who killed him has been freed from all charges. The soldier of the Coast Guard that killed Rafael Nahuel is also free, while Daniel Ruiz, an oil worker shop steward, is in prison as well as 12 anarchist prisoners, only because they confronted the arrival of the imperialist pirates that control the world to the G20 summit in Argentina. Also, the persecution against Sebastian Romero for participating in the day of struggle on December 18th 2017 is still on.
All of them were also a symbol of all the political prisoners of the world and the martyrs that were killed by the regimes of the oppressors.
From Las Heras, we stand in solidarity with Facundo Jones Huala, of the Mapuche community, who was claiming for his land, which today is usurped by imperialist foreign landowners that want to take away all the wealth of Argentina. Jones Huala was extradited to Chile, where he faces a trial for which the state asks more than 15 years in jail, showing that the oppressors have no borders, and we don’t have and must not have borders either when we are to fight for the freedom of all the political prisoners.
We know that tens and tens of organizations of struggle, from the very prisons, from the ones that seek justice (like we do, together with our children and relatives) will raise their voices on this week of rage and struggle for freedom.
We call on the Syrian prisoners to unite to this call, so we can together break the isolation that allows the genocide made by savage repressors and murderers against the Syrian people.
Let the war cry of “Free all the political prisoners of the world!” be heard from the bars to inside and to outside.
Let the organizations that fight at the service of the oppressed, the Human Rights organizations, the anti-imperialist organizations, the workers organizations, adopt this call, as it is clear that all the prisoners and convicted are hostages used by the oppressors so they can not give in to the demands claimed today.
Let’s transform the week from December 12th to 19th into days of struggle of all the political and social prisoners in all the jails of the world, of the prisoners of the revolution and the relatives that today claim to judge and punish the responsible for the death of their children and beloved ones!
From Las Heras, we are together with the migrant workers, who are treated in the world with jail and repression, as if the extreme pain of leaving their lives behind, looking for bread and dignity for their families, wasn’t enough suffering and cruelty. In this system, where there’s no more place for even another school desk or another bed in a hospital, these people are denied their entering to Europe and to the USA. Our people die trying to get there, whether in the Mediterranean Sea or crossing Rio Grande, while thousands of them are in the jails or refugee camps in USA, separated from their children, or in Europe fenced by barbed wire as in Ceuta, Melilla or army barracks as in Greece.
The day we are one, in one single cry, across the world, is the day that our freedom will be a reality.
Thus we call you to send your endorsements, proclamations, statements, from the prisons and organizations around the world, which we will be publishing during this whole week of struggle which belongs to all of us, and therefore we should all take into our hands.
May this week fight together and never stop doing it!
An injury to one is an injury to all!
Free all the prisoners for fighting!
The rebellion of the slaves is not a crime; it’s justice!
