Bolivia, Senkata - El Alto
Words by Clotilde Cochi, board member of the Association of Dead and Injured Victims of the Senkata Massacre, El Alto - Zona Sur, La Paz
“… I want to acknowledge by giving our voices and ask you to unite the resistance struggles of the workers and peasants throughout the world. Because they want to shut us up”
Hello, a warm greeting to all international countries and to the International Workers Organizer for the invitation that you have sent us.
I am talking on behalf of the Association, I am a mother of one of the victims of the Senkata massacre that are still asking for justice; justice that seems very long away for us; justice that only those who have money can obtain.
This government is only giving us the runaround with lies after lies.
They have not been able to solve anything for nine months; The hand of this government has not trembled to send to assassinate the people and until now there has not been even the humanitarian aid that it has promised us. There has been no help from the government.
It is very unfortunate that in the countries those who suffer the most are the humble families. Here in Bolivia we suffer discrimination and racism. I do not doubt much that if once their hand has not trembled to have our families killed, they will do so a second time; because again they are threatening us with military repression. That is why the whole world must know everything that is happening here in Bolivia.
Apart from the repression that we have suffered, the Covid pandemic has come to us. The brothers in the Association are without work, they still have the bullets. We are very depressed.
For the humble there is no justice. Therefore comrades, I want to acknowledge by giving our voices and ask you to unite the resistance struggles of the workers and peasants throughout the world. Because they want to shut us up (...)
We will continue to insist until they listen to us. For our children, for our husbands who have passed away and for the families who have been shattered.
Who is speaking is the daughter of a miner from Colquiri and it was my son who went through this story, and that I had never thought either, since we never thought that my son was going to suffer the bullet that went through him. This is very painful for a mother (…) the Association of Dead and Wounded Victims of the massacre in El Alto Zona Sur - La Paz - is standing and we will continue to fight.
That's all comrades, and God bless you all. |
