SYRIA

The masses and the rebels broke the encirclement on the workers neighborhoods in southern Aleppo and caused a hard defeat to Bashar the dog and to Putin, both under the command of Obama

The battle of Kahntouman…
and the rage of the displaced

Correspondent from the resistance in Aleppo, from the battle front in Kahntouman

A few months ago, the Russian warplanes of Putin the hitman and the mercenary troops of Bashar encircled the city of Aleppo, located north of Syria. In their way, they destroyed, massacred, raped and occupied territory in the suburbs of that city, trying to besiege the workers neighbourhoods of the heart of Aleppo, where the masses refused to surrender their resistance. This caused hundreds of thousands of our Syrian brothers and sisters to become refugees or internal displaced.
They left behind the few things they've got and decided to leave because their houses were either destroyed or occupied by mercenaries of Iran or from Hezbollah. Members of their families were raped or killed. The belongings of the “new refugees” were just a tent or a piece of canvas to shelter from the last blows of the winter until the spring arrives.
In their march, they begin to establish around Sarmada, a town in the Idlib governorate which is close to the city of Aleppo, approximately at 20km east. This town is also located near the border crossing to Turkey called Bab el Hawa (the door of the wind).

Surviving with the miserable things that from time to time cross that border and a few times reach the hands of the Syrian exploited, the inhabitants of the camp in Sarmada gathered together among those who have a ell phone in order to talk to some of their relatives trapped in the workers neighbourhoods in Aleppo. One of the advantages of Sarmada is that it's close to Turkey and this lets the cell phones to catch the Turkish cell phone network from there. The Syrian networks are not only bad in its quality but they are also filtered by Bashar the dog.

Returning to today, there was a deceitful “ceasefire” in the besieged city of Aleppo, while in the suburbs of Damascus (the capital city of Syria) another “ceasefire” expired and the forces loyal to Bashar didn't delay in bombing and killing the resistance that took a stand in that area.

A week ago, in Geneva, Obama, Putin and Bashar were negotiating partial “ceasefire” agreements. The meetings of Geneva centralized all the factions of the bourgeoisie that intervene in Syria to expropriate and massacre our revolution that was motivated in 2011 by starvation, the desire for freedom for the masses of the entire Maghreb and Middle East. In those meetings, everyone agreed that Bashar should keep on killing. The situation wasn't stable to start making joint business deals.
Once again it was clear that the fake “ceasefire” had the sole aim of terminating the resistance of the masses and to give Assad the time for him to achieve this.

The Russian planes and Bashar's artillery merciless bombed Aleppo, falling on all the workers neighborhoods, hospitals, health centers, dental clinics. Men, women, children fell by hundreds every day.

However in Idlib there's another situation. Idlib is controlled by a “union of bourgeois fractions and army parties” under the name “Jaish el Fatah” (“The conqueror army”), which is integrated by Aharar al-Sham, Jabhat Al Nusra and fractions of the FSA. There is a notorious counterrevolutionary agreement between the leaders of those fractions and the regime, for which these bourgeois fractions are committed to protect the bourgeois people in Foah and Akbaria (the place where the top Syrian Shiite bourgeoisie lives) which are inside Idlib governorate. In return, Bashar the dog does not bomb that area. So all these bourgeois can negotiate and trade with each other.
Nevertheless, this changed in the morning of Tuesday, May 3rd. The inhabitants of the mentioned refugee camp in Sarmada (Idlib governorate) were being bombed. In addition to every day misery, that morning Sarmada was drown in blood, mud, death and fire in the little blue tents while the bodies of children, women, old people laid on the ground. That was the sight of one of the most miserable places around the world.
Bomb on refugees... Let's think about the rubbish Basharist logic as an expression of the world capitalist logic. Bashar the dog bombed entire neighborhoods saying “the terrorist use the buildings as headquarters”; he bombed hospitals and health centers saying “they heal terrorists”; he bombed bakeries and warehouses saying that “the terrorists get supplies from there”; he bombed Yarmouk (a Palestinian refugee camp which has a building and duplex infrastructure, not tents) saying “inside there are terrorists hiding”... But to bomb a refugee camp where there is only misery, starvation, sweat and tears? In that refugee camp, the people survive eating rotten thins, they have diseases, they live under small and thin tents. This reveals that there is no logic in the capitalist system but the extermination logic.

To bomb a refugee camp as Sarmara exposes even more how fake it is the “fight against terrorism” and reveals that the true enemies of this system are the exploited that resist and the only terrorists are the bourgeois rich of the world.

This fact radicalized everything and cause a huge hatred of the masses of the region. The generals of the “opposition” bourgeoisie of Al Nusra, fractions of the FSA, etc. lost control of the masses that were boiling. Idlib rose. Indignation was all around the workers neighborhoods of Aleppo.
The leaders of the army parties of the “opposition” bourgeoisie were forced to deploy the artillery that jealously keep off from the hands of the masses but they use to subjugate and control them. Either they put their weaponry so they can have a strong response to the mercenary troops of Al Assad or the rebel masses could take up these weapons on their own. They have bombed tents in the dessert, and the bodies of women and children were burnt.

However and due to the experience we have, the plans of these bourgeois fractions were, as always, to shoot a round of morter bombs, two or three tank cannons and then pull back saying “there are no conditions for victory” thus respecting the “ceasefire” with Bashar the dog and continue the buisness deals with his generals.

But on the morning of May 5th everything was different...
Thousands of exploited with nothing to lose (since they've already lost everything, their houses, families, work and now even the chance of being an outcast) took up a rifle on their shoulder, a gun in their waists, a grenade in their hands and went to battle. We were thousands ruthlessly advancing. The aim was to re-take Khantouman, a town in the southern suburbs of Aleppo, and break the encirclement that the mercenaries of Bashar kept over the workers neighborhoods of the city, where there were our destroyed homes and some families resisting.

The battle lasted a few hours but it was one of the bloodiest battles for the mercenaries of Bashar. We ambushed them from every corner, every rooftop, every window. They were frightened and ran away without having a place to hide. Anger and rage invaded us and we hunted them merciless. Maybe some people will think this as a “revenge” but for us it was JUSTICE.
Euphoric cries were all over town. We won. Hundreds of mercenary soldiers of Bashar from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Chinese-type (term used to describe the Russian mercenaries for their Asian features), Lebanese from Hezbollah, Iraqi and high ranked generals of the Iranian guard. They are paid mercenaries that humiliate our women and children, destroy our homes... we made justice.
The leadership of Jabhat Al Nusra moved swiftly and tried to take over the situation with its clerics and took over several prisoners under the pretext of “interrogation under Islamic law”.
However, many of our brothers and sisters could return to their destroyed homes in Khantouman and even if there were just rubbles, the chance of seeing them rebuilt made their eyes glow. Many of them recovered what was left of their houses. It's true that in a class war not only is important the military technique but also the moral of the fight of the exploited. When it's high, it's invincible, different from the mercenary who only fights for money and when the situation is favorable. We fought for what is ours, for justice for our children, women and men killed in the camp in Sarmada.

In our areas, people are not happy with Jabhat Al Nusra. This organization has almost lost its social basis. This bourgeois fraction in the beginning of the revolution was a fusible to contain the Syrian masses on the left. Now it calls for “unity”, when it has always been a sectarian group, and even their leaders are talking about breaking away from Al Qaeda, the bourgeois fraction of Ayman al Dhawahri, follower of Osama Bin Laden.
Another fact that may be used to clean up a little the image of Jabhat Al Nusra is the release of the Spanish journalists. This could be another move to take the best of our brothers and sisters that resist to subordinate to Geneva meetings (the meetings of death).

In a sea of reaction, this last fight was a fresh air for all those who confront this rubbish system.

A great lesson arises out of this heroic battle of the resistance: the forces to defeat Bashar the dog are in the refugee camps and in the popular neighbourhoods of the bombed cities. This battle shows that the “opposition” bourgeoisie and the bourgeois generals of the FSA and Jabhat Al Nusra refuse to arm them, so they can control those million of exploited that in the concentration camps desire with anxiety to recover their homes, their small pieces of land, to have a life again and to get that, to enter into the fight against Al Assad.

While we write this and there are still some bombs falling over Aleppo, Idlib and all the cities controlled by the resistance, we see how in Yemen, the Houthi bourgeoisie and the Saudi one are plotting against our rebel Yemeni brothers and sisters in secret meetings while USA and UN deploy their occupation troops.
Imperialism knows -and so do its agents- that they are crushing a single revolution from Tunisia to Jerusalem.
In Libya, imperialism sends its lackey ISIS to attack the militias of Misrata, in order to do away with the radicalized vanguard of that city that was not defeated yet.

Meanwhile, we learnt the news that our refugee brothers and sisters are in true concentration camps in Greece, treated as animals, fenced by razor wires and repressed by the police of that scum left government of Syriza. It is treating the refugees in Greece just as Al Assad, Putin and Obama are treating the Syrian refugees in the camp in Sarmara.
It is clear that if the bourgeoisie and the bankers treat the refugees like this, they also treat like this the Greek working class that has its best children, the rebel youth, imprisoned in the dungeons of NATO regime.
When the prisoners rose against Al Assad in the city of Hama, everyone in the resistance were eager to go to release them. Our fights were intensified in several towns, striking on our enemy Bashar, demanding freedom and the prisoners of Hama not to be touched. The same solidarity we feel for our comrades imprisoned in the jails of Bashar the dog we also feel it for the prisoners of the Greek youth, to which we carry in our hearts. We also feel it for Samer, Shireen Issawi and all the Palestinian fighters, for the disappeared youth of Ayotzinapa, Mexico; for the comrades of Las Heras (Argentina): for George Abdallah, imprisoned in France: for the Basque prisoners: for all those who fight all around the world...
When we clashed against the enemy and defeated it in Khantouman battle, we also claimed “we are making justice for all the prisoners, condemned and repressed around the world by this rotten system”.

We salute the resistance of all those who fight. Specially, we salute the comrades of Tierra del Fuego that are fighting there, in the end of the world, for the right of the workers.

We know that the fate of the Syrian resistance is in the hands of the European working class, that today comes out to fight in France and in the workers around the world. We are and we also fight with them.

If imperialism achieves partial victories in Syria and in other countries of the world is because the traitors of our class, those who speak on behalf of our revolution but they say nothing about it except to slander it. To expose their true nature is one of the biggest duties we should have as a main task to succeed.

The battle is still ongoing around the world. We won't rest until we'll succeed everywhere.
