Tribute to the internationalist revolutionary fighter, Abu al-Baraa, on the ninth anniversary of his murder
An internationalist and revolutionary greeting to all of us participating today in this heartfelt tribute to the great Syrian fighter Abu al-Baraa, a combatant with the Leon Sedov Internationalist Brigade in Syria. I am SinforosoCheo Navarro, a former member of the Colombian PST and a fighter with the Simón Bolívar International Brigade who went to fight against the Somoza dictatorship in Nicaragua in 1979. Today, I am a member of the Revolutionary Socialist Nucleus of Colombia, affiliated with the FLTI-CI.
Words will never be enough to remember those who, through the example of Militant Internationalism, have shown us the path of struggle to continue the Socialist Revolution on this planet. Abu al-Baraa is one of those figures to follow, because, along with his father and brothers, he made it part of his revolutionary project of existence and struggle.
Thus, the murderous and criminal blow by the Syrian dictator, Bashar al-Assad, supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Barack Obama, was not enough to silence his voice and overshadow his struggle, since it has been repeated and remembered and will continue to be so until the definitive triumph of the Syrian people's Revolution, today against al-Joliani, Putin, and Trump, and the victory of the world revolution.
The lessons of the Syrian Revolution are key for conscious workers today to prepare for the struggle and to build an internationalist and anti-imperialist movement from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego.
Today, imperialism, with the fascist Trump at its head, is coming for everything on the continent. Alongside the fascist attack on Hispano workers within the US, one of the most extreme expressions of this offensive is the military deployment and actions the US is carrying out on the coasts of Venezuela, Colombia, and in the Caribbean. Faced with such an imperialist offensive, what we need is to coordinate a continental struggle of workers and peasants to stop imperialism and prevent further bloodshed of the masses.
As long as we exist, our commitment to Militant Internationalism will continue to demand that we never forget these fighters and that we keep their example alive for new generations, whom we will continue to support in this process until Final Victory.
ABU AL BARA IS PRESENT!
LONG LIVE MILITANT INTERNATIONALISM!
