Assadist revolt on the coast, Zionist invasion in the south, US bases at the north….
Revolution and counterrevolution in Syria
A divided and occupied nation, with a regent government
of the plundered protectorate
We must crush the Assadist remnants and open the fronts against their Zionist bosses, led by Trump!
Out with all invading troops from Syria!
Only the working class can reunite the nation
and conquer freedom and dignity
The last few days have witnessed an Assadist revolt in the Syrian coastal region (Latakia and Tartous provinces). It began in the city of Jableh, where an armed group of Assadist soldiers and Shabiha ambushed the new HTS government police force shortly before sunset on Thursday, March 6, leaving a dozen dead. The city houses an Alawite military training center that remained protected, even after the fall of al-Assad, by the same al-Jolani government.
When al-Jolani took office, he granted amnesty to all Assadists, incorporated them into his government and army, allowed them to keep their arms and the houses they squatted... while the masses persecuted the shabihas and in workers' and popular courts, they brought them justice. Today, these Assadists, sheltered by al-Jolani's government, are the ones who have revolted.
Assadist revolt is seeking a greater business for that bourgeoisie and deepening the partition of Syria.
For years, al-Assad's Alawite bourgeoisie amassed enormous fortunes by controlling the state, its central bank and taxes, telecommunications, the coptagon drug trafficking, etc; all these businesses were lost when al-Assad was ousted from Damascus by the armed revolutionary masses last December.
However, it was al-Jolani who filled the power vacuum and, together with several sectors of the bourgeoisie that were politically, economically, or militarily connected to Turkey, established the "National Dialogue Conference", which was not voted for by anyone, to discuss business in a Syria that remains divided and occupied. The Alawite bourgeoisie refused to enter and instead used another method of negotiation: that of armed revolt in their own territory, thereby deepening the partition of Syria. A partition in which Zionism has invaded and seized the water sources of the Golan Heights and the rich lands of the Hauran Mountains, USA has taken over the oil wells, Turkey and Russia have military bases and do business with some bourgeois sectors, while for the masses, there is only hunger, misery, and tents in the middle of nowhere.
With al- Jolani at the helm, the masses cannot completely defeat the Assadists.
After fierce clashes, with hundreds of dead on both sides, the Assadists have not yet been defeated, as al-Jolani controls the front, allowing only small groups of combatants go, and the rest have been put to demonstrate in peaceful marches under control. Thus, he is preventing the forces of the Syrian revolution from entering the fight, which in 10 days had been able to defeat al-Assad, Iran, Russia, and the mercenary troops sent by the Lebanese Shiite bourgeoisie everywhere they were located in Syria.
Al-Jolani is also attempting to capitalize on the situation in his favor with the false alternative: "Either you take my government as it is and accept what you have now, or else al-Assad will return." In this way, al-Jolani aims to advance his goal of disarming the masses and the establishment of a strong bourgeois state, with a "single army" under his command, and preventing the revolution from developing. He wants to prevent a new mass uprising, and that's why he is controlling and reducing the fronts, and using this campaign to quell the protests, strikes, marches, etc. that have been taking place throughout Syria for bread, housing, and work, since any protest against the government could be accused of being "Assadist".
The masses must take up the fight against the Assadist remnants and recover the nation! Out with all invading troops! Every man a rifle!
To defeat the Assadist revolt, it is necessary for the entire masses that defeated al-Assad last December to enter the fight with arms in hand. It is necessary for the millions of refugees to join the fight, and recover their homes by expropriating at every step the multi-millionaire Alawite bourgeoisie and the Iranian and Hezbollah mercenaries who have taken over the houses they had robbed from the Syrian people.
Al-Jolani is only using a small force, and the fighting is spreading, a move he's using to strengthen his position in the government by opposing the remnants of Assadism... The remnants of Assadism must be completely defeated! Every man, a rifle! The banks and large properties of the Alawite Basharist bourgeoisie must be expropriated without compensation, as they have been stealing the Syrian people's wealth for years at the expense of the workers' blood! Out with the Russian bases in Latakia and Tartous, allies of the Alawites who have been massacring the Syrian people for the past decade and a half, alongside the dog Bashar!
To consolidate the victory against Assad, we must expel all the murderous troops occupying Syria that drowned it with blood. Out with the US and Turkish bases! For the defeat of the Zionist occupiers of southern Syria! Out with all invading troops! Let's take back our nation! Let's take back our homes!
Let's take back the oil, the water, the coast and the fertile lands! Expropriation without compensation of all oil wells occupied by the imperialist Seven Sisters and the lands occupied by Zionism!
Only then will we be able to recover our nation, and will there be funds to rebuild Syrian housing and infrastructure, conquer bread, decent work for all, and a salary equal to the market basket. Only with workers' and popular courts will we be able to judge and punish all those responsible for the genocide of the Syrian people, without the indiscriminate slaughter of civilians, women, and children, as al-Assad did to 600,000 of our people.
We must set up refugee committees to fight for housing! We must set up committees of workers, poor peasants, students, rank-and-file soldiers, and militia members, by locality, region, and coordinated at the national level! All power to those below!
Only a government of workers and peasants, representing the interests of the majority of the poor people and not a select minority of businessmen, can guarantee all the way our demands.
Only the Syrian working class and the exploited are the allies of the Palestinian resistance and the Lebanese people, occupied and bombed by Zionism and handed over and disarmed by Hezbollah and the Iranian ayatollahs. It is a joint struggle against Zionism and Trump, against all the lackeys of the regional bourgeoisies, and to ensure that the Palestinian resistance is not isolated. For the destruction of the Zionist-fascist state of Israel!
Revolution and counterrevolution are facing each other. Syria will be revolutionary, worker and peasant; or it will remain in the hands of the Alawite, Sunni, and Druze millionaires; plundered by imperialism; occupied by Zionism and split by all foreign powers; and a new Nakba will fall upon the Palestinian masses, where Zionism will return as the US' great gendarme in the region.
