Workers and poor people, who gave their lives for the revolution, expose the suffering that did not cease after having defeated al-Assad
Al-Jolani government is one of rich businessmen, not one of the exploited and oppressed
In the city of Hama, the workers and the poor people, those who truly gave their lives for the revolution to defeat the fascist al-Assad, are raising their voices so that all the exploited of the world know that their sufferings of hunger, misery and lack of decent housing have not ceased at all after the fall of the Assadist regime. The al-Jolani new government has not given them anything, demonstrating that it is not a government that represents them.
Below we reproduce their complaint, expressed at a rally protesting for the bread, housing and dignity that they have been denied:
“Message to Abu Muhammed al-Jolani who was posing as a fighter...
You went out to fight as a fighter, not as the president of a state, allegedly, you went out to fight like all of us, for the glory of the revolution.
And here we are, all of us you see here, we fought in this revolution, 14-year-old children who fought, wounded.
We have nowhere to live, those who have a small plot of land, you Jolani and your government do not allow them to build, we cannot move forward, we cannot recover our homes, why?
We are in refugee camps, we have no water, we are plagued by heat, cold, and disease. Why?
We fought against the pig of the regime, against the Alawites, and now? They are in the palaces and we are living on the streets?
If you really value yourself, Mr. Jolani, value us too, value the injured, those who do not even have money to support their children, you also have children, Mr. Jolani...
And so are thousands more. Today, a family needs at least two to three million lire to survive.
Today you pay salaries of no more than 100 dollars.
We turn to the "real" Jolani, the one who allegedly fought for the revolution.
Where did his speech go??? He talked so much, and now what?
Everyone is celebrating you, so we ask you to come here, not as the president of the state, but as what you supposedly said you were, a fighter like us.
We don't want your secretaries, we want you here on the very same ground.
It's been more than three months since the regime fell and we are still mired in misery.
Living in extreme poverty… you have not even brought us a blanket.
We don't have money to put gas in the broken-down motorcycles we ride, so how can we rent a house?
We don't want any shabiha around here, they have to pay, not us.
They should be tried for the atrocities they committed against us for 14 years.
The wounded here were wounded in combat, it is us who liberated Syria!!!!
We demand that Jolani come here and see the misery of more than 5,000 families.
“Come here and honor the revolution properly!!!”
The voice of the workers of Hama is the voice of all the Syrian masses who shed their blood in the revolution to overthrow the fascist al-Assad and have not yet achieved dignity. The people want bread, housing and freedom!
Expropriation without compensation and under workers' control of the imperialist oil companies that are plundering Syria's black gold, and of all the banks and reserves that were stolen by the Assadist gangs and the Syrian bourgeoisie! There are the funds to ensure a decent wage and work for everyone, and a workers' emergency plan to rebuild Syria's housing and infrastructure.
The rebelled exploited must establish their own revolutionary power without relying on the businessmen of the bourgeois gangs of al-Jolani and their joint government with Assadist officials and in joint agreement with all the Arab bourgeoisies, Zionism and imperialism. We must open the path to the committees of workers, poor peasants and partisans! Syria is for the working-class and poor-peasants!
