Appeal to all labor and human rights organizations in the world to stand up together with the relatives of the Syrian prisoners:
For the freedom and alive appearance of the more than 500,000 political prisoners tortured in the dungeons of the Gestapo of Al Assad and Putin...
The masses take to the street of Damascus!
There are 500,000 detainees for fighting for bread and freedom in the Syrian revolution. There are 500,000 who today suffer in the prisons of the Bashar regime, a murderer who, along with Putin and the Iranian Ayatollahs, did not hesitate in massacring hundreds of thousands and burying them in mass graves, devastating entire cities and subjecting who imprison to the worst of tortures. There are 500,000 who were taken to the Basharist prisons, at the expense of imperialism, in the same way that there are tens of thousands of prisoners of the Egyptian revolution, thousands of Palestinians who are in the dungeons of Zionism, eight thousand Iranian political prisoners and hundreds of sentenced to death and executed in the prisons of the Ayatollahs. This is the brutal repression and massacre imposed by imperialism and its local partners to drown in blood a great revolutionary process and continue looting the oil and gas.
Some of the 500,000 Syrian prisoners have been mourned as martyrs by their relatives, with the uncertainty of not knowing where they are, and only having received their identification document. Many others are still being sought because the only thing that is known about them is that they were captured by Bashar's forces. It is known that the majority of them are overcrowded, suffering the worst of torments, in the human slaughterhouses that Al Assad's prisons are, both legal and clandestine.
In recent days, hundreds of thousands of relatives of the 500,000 have been dismayed and enraged at the maneuver of the Basharist regime that consisted of announcing with great fanfare the supposed release of 200 prisoners, with which he intended to clean up its image of war criminal. The masses of all Syria did not take long to respond to this cynical action by the regime and immediately took to the streets of the most important cities, shouting “free 200, but the people want the 500,000!”, even marching in the center of the Syrian capital, Damascus, right under the nose of fascism. Tens of thousands of relatives took over the most important accesses to that city and camped a few blocks from the government house, hoping to be able to be reunited with their relatives. After 11 years of revolution, the oppressed once again filled the streets of the capital against the regime that subjugates, massacres, starves and imprisons them.
As it could not be other way, not only he did not release the 200 he had promised, but he repressed that gigantic demonstration with fury and class hatred, even imprisoning several of those who were looking for their relatives. The few who were released were in deplorable physical and mental health after years of suffering the worst torture and inhumane conditions in Al Assad's prisons.
From the International Network for the Freedom of Political Prisoners we call to all labor organizations, human rights organizations, etc. at the international level to take into their hands the struggle for the alive appearance and for the freedom of all the prisoners of the Syrian revolution. We want all 500,000 alive and with us! This fight is inseparable from the struggle for the freedom of the Palestinian and Iranian prisoners, of the prisoners of the Egyptian and Lebanese revolution, and of all the exploited who are in the prisons of the oppressors in the Middle East and worldwide for fighting for their rights. Freedom to all political prisoners in Syria! Freedom for the political prisoners of the world |
