Comrades, congratulations for the recent Rally on the International Workers Solidarity Day.
I was inspired by the words of Comrade Steif Abu Yazan from Syria on the unity of workers worldwide in the struggle against dictatorships. We witnessed a historical moment when the Syrian people overthrew the al-Assad regime, which was supported by Iran and its sectarian militias as well as by the military machinery of the Russian counterrevolution, which the Kremlin oligarchy has long used to drown the oppressed in blood, both in Syria and abroad (Kazakhstan, Ukraine, the Caucasus, and the African Sahel).

This is a very important historical precedent. Such a ruthless tyranny collapsed, and many executioners fell at the hands of the revolutionary people who now administer justice. This gives hope to peoples oppressed by repressive police dictatorships and serves as a stark warning to the executioners and their henchmen: a scenario like Syria's is possible in any country.

Now, the heroic masses of the new Syria extend a helping hand to their Palestinian siblings, even though the Syrian people have not yet healed the deep wounds inflicted by the Assad regime, which lasted half a century, and the genocide he and his allies committed over the last 14 years.

As soon as the Zionist Knesset passed the fascist death penalty law for Palestinian prisoners, the Syrian masses mobilized, armed, from Daraa to Idlib, ready to open a front in support of Palestine. The pressure from the Syrian streets is thwarting the attempts of Ahmad al-Shara's Sunni bourgeoisie to normalize relations with the Zionists and is forcing Assad's henchmen to be brought before a public tribunal.

The world working class can learn a valuable lesson from history in this epic 14-year struggle: patience and perseverance will undoubtedly be rewarded. Even the most "unshakeable" bourgeois dictatorship can collapse in a matter of days.
