The government has adopted the pension reform by decree
The working class redoubles its fight and now, yes…
FRANCE ON FIRE!
Down with decree 49.3! Down with Macron!
For months now, the workers and the people of France have been facing in the streets and with strikes the attack on their pensions by the French imperialist bourgeoisie, led by Macron and his Prime Minister Borne, who want to take from 62 to 64 years the age to retire and liquidate all special regimes.
On Thursday, the government, before a movement of struggle that did not stop, ended up using article 49.3 of the Constitution that allows the ececutive to approve a law without going through a vote in parliament.
This was the straw that broke the camel's back and the working class surpassed the leadership of the unions that sought to contain the combat in a fight to put pressure on the government and its parliament and had called for a conference only for Thursday 23th. Defying also the prohibitions of the police prefectures, the masses spontaneously and massively took to the streets in many cities of the country.
In cities like Paris, Marseille, Strasbourg, Nantes, Bordeaux, among others, they went out in direct actions, breaking in and occupying public places, with barricades and clashes with the repressive forces throughout the day and night of yesterday Friday and today Saturday, in a real open combat against the government. In Lyon they broke into the government house of one of the districts, breaking down the door and setting it on fire.
In the demonstrations throughout the country you can hear "Macron, resign", "We beheaded Louis XVI... Macron, we can start again!", "Down with 49.3!", "We have fought to win retirement to 60 years, we will fight to maintain it”.
They have been in a real political fight in the streets for 3 days and there are hundreds of detainees.
The French working class is not willing to give up its gains!
In several sectors they are still on strike. 37% of Total Energie workers have stopped working and the largest refinery in the country, located in Normandy, has been paralyzed since last Friday night and has been joined by the second refinery, which is in the south of the country, a step forward in their combats because until now they were performing blockades, but the refineries had continued to produce. In the energy sector, they maintain their renewable strike and foresee electricity cuts in specific places and free reconnection actions as they usually do as a measure to fight against the bosses and in favor of all the exploited. The garbage collectors, who have just resisted an attempt to evict the blockade of one of the incineration sites by the police, voted to extend their strike until at least Tuesday, a strike that has been going on for 13 days and has Paris submerged in 10 tons of garbage. Suspensions are maintained in the transport of the Parisian region and in the airlines, they are announcing cancellations from Monday. The teachers' strike also continues, which worries the Ministry of Education since it calls into question the taking of the exams to accredit the baccalaureate studies (BAC); also the railway workers of the national company (SNCF) have voted to maintain the renewable strike that began on March 3th.
Long live the struggle of the French working class! That is the way to put our feet on the bosses' chest, stop the attack and get back what they have taken from us!
Down with 49.3! Down with Macron! Down with the Fifth Republic!
