We reproduce the Resolutions of the Chayanta Cabildo, in the north of the department of Potosí, which remains steadfast in its struggle to kick out Rodrigo Paz.

RESOLUTIONS OF THE CHAYANTA PROVINCE:

“The Chayanta Province has declared a state of emergency and issued a strong statement regarding the current socio-political situation. Social organizations have reaffirmed their position with the following demands:

1- Immediate freedom: The release of all those detained from the province within a maximum of 24 hours.

2- Suspension of dialogue: The COB and the Tupac Katari Confederation are urged not to engage in dialogue with the Government; otherwise, drastic measures will be taken.

3- Mass mobilization: The struggle continues. The rank and file are called upon to expand mobilizations nationwide.

4- International denunciation: The excessive use of police force against the demonstrators is denounced before Human Rights organizations.

5- Unity congress: The COB is demanded to immediately convene a unity congress upon the conclusion of the pressure measures.

- Main demand: In addition to the freedom of their comrades, the sector maintains its firm stance to demand The immediate resignation of Rodrigo Paz

The province warns that, if these demands are not met, the measures will become more radical in the coming hours.
